Me: *drags Ivar out kicking and screaming*

Ivar chews on his bottom lip, snarling at me until realizing perhaps he’s just a little too sleepy right now to put up a fight.

“I don’t - ” He scoffs, rolling his eyes. “I don’t… I don’t know how to talk to anyone about her.” He stares at the floor, brows furrowing slightly while he tries confronting his own fears and doubts. He glowers, but there’s a slight twist that pulls forcibly on the corner of his mouth when he pictures Lisbet. He’s trying to avoid thinking about missing her; feeling uncomfortable at being so far away from her. “She makes me feel - ” Lungs expand painfully in his chest as he sucks in a deep breath. “She makes me feel.” he whispers.

His laugh is sardonic now. “Ubbe thinks he knows so much. Fucking giggles to himself as if I have some sort of schoolboy crush.” Ivar’s lips curl at the thought. “If only anyone could understand the depths that girl has dug into me.” He shakes his head, disapproving of himself. “If only she knew… It would scare her.”
