When I got home from my conference, my kids both looked bigger. Riv is talking more articulately and using more complex sentences.

And my big kid just looks...handsome? He's very much in the throws of awkward puberty. He's struggling with acne, something I knew would happen :( because both his dad and I had acne too. But he's just a good looking kid even so. He's always been very cute, but now he's growing into more a mature look, and he's handsome.

I want to fix everything for him, and I can't. It makes me so sad to watch him struggle. I want to believe things will get better.
