I LOVE binghe and mingyan being best friends that are joined at the hip and i will share So much abt them soon but I would like to raise you an unlikely not really a friendship but definitely an acquaintanceship of Liu Qingge and Sha Hualing. Walk with me.
Immortality is a long ass time to be spent making peace with the fact that your best friend's fuckass husband is half demon, and he also happens to be your sister's best friend, if you wanna hang out with either of them, you have to Tolerate said half demon best friend and sister stealer bcs he is the worst thing a man can be, Clingy (in the unhealthy possessive way). Said demon comes with his own party of demons, specifically another one that is Into his sister, aka his sister's gf. Now suddenly Qingge's life is full of his closest most beloved people who got chill real fast abt demons and started marrying them and so on.
Immortality really numbs you to a lot of things like being indirectly related to demons, so you make peace. He started getting along with Sha Hualing a little bit, they go on hunts together, if they find a rare beast or if one is tracking down a rare beast, they let each other know and tag along. Qingge is a walking encyclopedia of every beast that roams the face of the planet because he lives an eventful life and sha hualing often seeks out Qingge, describing a beast, or describes what she wants and Qingge will share a whole list of beasts that fit the requirements, weaknesses, any facts abt them, region/location they can be found in too. Sometimes they'll have sparring sessions and Qingge worries way too much about Sha Hualing's clothes, always offering his outer robe, or bringing an extra along when he knows they'll meet up. It's not in a way to embarrass her or make her feel ashamed, but more so that he picked up on the fact that her rhythm during a spar changes when her clothes constantly inconvenience her and she can definitely fight longer and better if not for this hinderance.
Mingyan loves that her gf and brother get along together tho both of them will deny it. If you ask anyone else, they'd say they seem like friends and every now and then, the Liu siblings and Sha Hualing will go out for a drink together while both the girls discuss who to set Qingge up with. Qingge and Hualing are both pretty competitive, especially when tipsy, and Mingyan is a force to reckon with that sets them both straight (they are scared of her).
Binghe is insanely jealous of Sha Hualing bcs "Liu Qingge was my shishu first" and how DARE YOU. He's even more upset at the fact that Qingge is accepting of Hualing when she's full demon, not a pure intention there at all, and he's like Half demon so WHAT GIVES???? Why hasn't he received any acceptance, not that he particularly cares but still, someone who's so vehemently against demons is now drinking buddies with one and it's not him and it just doesn't feel right. That's how Binghe found out that Qingge doesn't really care that he's half demon, he just thinks Binghe sucks is all. He refused to elaborate and it keeps binghe up at night.
