would it be cultural appropriation for me (a white girl) to wear hair chain jewerly? I know enough to not wear one that has anything resembling a bindi hanging off the front of it but I wasn't sure if i should just not wear them at all
What you’re look for is called a hard chain in the tags.
You can wear them. They aren't generally culturally specific, but as you said some styles aren’t for just anyone any time.
quick qu:
would you consider head/hair chains such as the one i’ve linked below as cultural appropriation? just curious

Made some dope headchains tonight....about to take some selfies with em.
I have a legit question! Are head chains offensive? I bought a head chain from my store Forever 21 and I thought it was so pretty and It reminded me of like a psychic reader or some sort of 1960's hippie type thing. Then I researched offensive fashion things and I've found nothing about head chains. I know that bindis are offensive to wear when you're not part of the religion which is understandable because people are actually buying religious bindis and wearing them as"cute" and "edgy" accessories and calling themselves gypsies??? No. But so far I think that head chains are in the clear. From what I know they are used as wedding accessories in Indian weddings for the bride. But the one I bought is not in any type of bridal style so I'm thinking it's all good. If anyone else has any information please tell me !!
