One of the jobs I get asked to do quite a lot is to take those “Head shots” of business employees that get used on websites and social media. No-one seems to like having these done but I do try to make it a fun experience. I also look around for other things to photograph at the same time, just to give the client a bit extra. A perfect example of this was when I went to a local commercial vehicle hire company, Close Brothers CVS, and while looking around the yard I spotted trucks – lots of trucks!!
So here is what found after doing the dreaded head-shots…

I've never been a avid reader of the The New Yorker (being a Yorkshireman, I much prefer the original 'Yorker') but after reading a recent article I noticed these fantastic personalised head-shots they use for their writers.
I love the style of these, and with a second venture through a few of their articles I found this follow through with their hand-drawn editorial illustrations which match up perfectly with these cleaner lines.
After this, I may have to experiment with my own custom head-shot!

So I got some new brushes on Sai (a gift I got myself >w<) and I wanted to try them out a bit. So I drew my bbs~ Just some head shots of Dean and Sam. I really love these new brushes so much.
