#MedalMonday ..... ummmmm how about #HeadbandMonday 🤔 . Did my first Tough Mudder in a monsoon of rain and wind this weekend. Definitely a big step out of my comfort zone but it was a fun race and a learning experience. Didn’t realize it was a team race, so that threw me off. In addition to #headbandmonday it is also #medalmonday! Although we are not part of the @nespahtens we cannot recommend their idea of #racelocal enough! Live in New England and new to OCR? Some of these local events will be perfect to get started! Tired of torturing yourself with events like a grueling Spartan Race? Then have fun with one of these more local events! #racelocal gets new people into the sport as well as help the local OCR businesses, the great swag is just the cherry on top!

#headbandmonday pays off a bit - just learned that one of my coworkers did a Spartan Race a couple years ago and "gets it" as regards #ocr ! Always good to know! Don't be afraid to show off your race swag - you never know who might be interested!

Back to they grind on this #headbandmonday! Did #toughmudder2017 Kentucky on Saturday and now it's back to the regular world...but with that slight change to my psyche. I look around at the humdrum of normal life and all the unhappy people around me on the bus to work, and think that for many of them the highlight of the weekend was binge-watching something on Netflix or whatever. I challenged myself, spent time with a friend, got some stories, got some bruises and sore muscles, and I'm better for it. There was a coffee mug at the @tough_mudder mercy booth that said "When was the last time you did something for the first time?" I would love to see that attitude ring true for everyone, every weekend. How did it ring true for you this past weekend?
