Headcanon meme- Send me a symbol and I'll describe my muse's...
Izaya stays awake a lot. After all, there aren't enough hours in the day. However, he does need sleep. He knows it.
What Izaya tends to do is stay up as long as he can. That way, he can get work done. That way, he can observe the humans he claims to love.
But when sleep claws at him, he knows he must answer. Else, it will claim him. He'll sleep for a few hours, and then it's right back to the routine of staying up.
The informant broker didn’t really text much. He considers face to face chats and phone calls more important. That, and that words that could be heard had more of an impact than words on a screen, that held no tone.
That being said, Izaya knows that texting isn’t pointless. It has it’s uses. He could communicate without his tone changing the meaning of words. It was clear and cut, without a human voice to change opinions.
He still didn’t text much.
Izaya's writing is very neat. It had to be, with how he dealt with information. Sure, some things could be typed up. But he liked to jot down notes as he came upon the information. Because words were much more reliable than memory.
✎ - taste in music/literature
The raven isn't much of a music person. Nor does he really read unless it's for work. However, he did like classical music. It was relaxing and a challenge to learn, if one wanted to.
When he did read, he liked to read books on psychology, or about people. If he had to choose a fiction type to read, Izaya would choose to read science-fiction books.
An ideal holiday? Izaya doesn't really think of holidays, because everyday is work. Even days off were. Every second you breath and move, you worked. It was work to think and move.
Besides that, when he had free time, he watched his humans, noting things.
There aren't many times when Izaya is nervous. As such, his habits aren't shown much. Even when he does do his habits, it isn't noticeable, unless one is specifically looking for it.
He chews the inside of his cheek. Very rarely is he nervous enough to chew his cheek for more than a few seconds.
Sadness Sadness was an emotion. It was one he was both familiar with, and a stranger to.
He was sad because he was lonely. That was how he was familiar with it. But at the same time, Izaya tried his best to push out negative emotions. That was how he was a stranger to the feeling.
Really, he just needed to act more human, which the raven did not want.
Izaya didn't often think of his birthday. It was just another day, after all. A day marking that he was a year older, and a year closer to death.
His ideal birthday was no birthday at all.
