i have very specific neurodivergent headcanons for all the characters in the middle

There are posts of people online of sometimes going, "I wish I was a better sibling, a better bigger brother, I always regret not being enough for my little sister, and I wake up in regret not being nicer or a better person for my little singling to look up to- I regret I did t do more"

i'd like to think the scouts siblings have that grief and remorse days during his leaving unto joining the gravel wars and Mann.co. All contact goes radio silent and null unless they hear it from their ma, who gets money from scout with simple letters.

I'd like to think since scout has 8 brothers (or siblings in general step or blood) they, or a very few, feel that remorse and reach out with letters or offers to come back to their town for family things and scout is either grudge holding or something of rather keeping to his work of being a hired killer to just send money to his ma

those that reach out tell their life, or ask for updates on his "mentioned new found family", (and even includes the spy on his memos) find that he isn't coming back, though not singular for their own self as a reason, but they write. scout doesnt write back. Instead he goes to each merc and finds his brothers in them, that his colleagues turn into war compadres for what seems an eternity.

Scout read them, the letters of mentioning "I know I couldve been a better older brother, but the fighting made you strong-" and he crumples it and basketball free throws it to the bin.

Scout agrees, they could've been better, and truth be told maybe things could've been worse to, and that not everything was going to be felt as their fault in due time, but he doesnt see himself turned out "wrong", infact he sees and feels the mercs are willing and can be his people and they were there. For him and for all losses and wins, unlike his brothers who threw him under the bus or left him to fend for his own unless he ran, and teased him for all things of a loss.

Scout never opens them when offered the mail, as they all have pages numbered inside, as if it would make a difference that their summaries are all "Things could be different because they should be different- me me you me blah ma says blah you weren't exactly easy either blan"

Scout agrees. Things of all sorts have happened- that could've made a difference in their sorries, but he looks out from his room closed window over the waste bin filled with its new paper nest. He doesn't intend on going backwards. And what for? It's the only answer he gives to the barage of family interviews, without a written response.

He opens his broken window clip and lifts the window ready to slack back from its weight, and uses a framed picture, as tradition to keep it open when he sits on the roof to listen to the radios ball game, as always the framed picture of him and his closest mercenary partners hold no falter against the weight of the broken latchless window falling on top of its edge, keeping the window open for space for ones hands to come back inside.

Scout agrees, only after he every time lands the paper into the bin. He agrees that even if they could be different, he is where he should be.

♆ : body headcanon

Isabelle tries to keep her body physically fit and healthy. It doesn’t help to be out of shape when she’s been chased down before so she tries to stay active.

ϡ : mental state headcanon

It’s been less frequent but the daughter of Hades has heard voices in her head before, gone into nervous breakdowns, and has turned to drinking to keep certain things at bay. She isn’t sure if any of it is connected to the Underworld or if she’s insane. It’s possible that it could be both in some cases. 

ღ : love or sexuality headcanon

She tries to stay away from love and the idea of love. Though she says it’s a weakness she wouldn’t mind having someone around. The only problem is that she would want to protect them and loving someone could put the person and/or herself in danger and she doesn’t want to risk that.

† : religion headcanon

Isabelle doesn’t lean toward a religion. She believes in the Greek gods, goddesses, and creatures but she doesn’t worship any of them like someone devoted to a religion would.

✄ : pet peeve headcanon

She can’t stand it when an area inhabited by someone is untidy. For some reason she hates it when papers are spread out across a desk or when a bed looks horribly made (or not made at all).
