Their chest still hurts, the last they remember was being attacked by Grimm. It was lucky the prefect was found in time before it was too late.... Forced to lie in bed and recover she expected to be left alone to wallow in her thoughts. Where was Grimm? Why did he do that? They were good friends, he would never just do something like that in his right mind... Does that mean he’s overblotting? Was it even possible for monsters to overblot? Oh god what if this was her fault? Had she been pushing him too hard? What if he hurts someone else? Overwhelmed with guilt she curls in on herself and cries into her knees.

‘I have faith in you’ the words struck a chord and she finds herself look up at the headmaster with tear stained eyes. Did he really mean that? It wasn’t like his usual tone, no ‘for I am gracious!” nonsense. The little human couldn’t remember a time someone expressed such faith in her. If only she heard such words when she was younger maybe she wouldn’t be as weak as she is now...

“I know at times I don’t seem grateful for what you’re doing for me but... I really am. I can’t thank you enough for letting me stay here as a student and helping me look for a way home....” 

“I promise, I’ll find him and fix this.”

It had already been a few minutes since Seraphina had heard the bell signaling the start of class. He wasn’t always so late, usually he’d much better care for managing him time but today there had been a bit of an emergency. One of his forest friends, specifically the doe, had injured her leg somehow so his time had been occupied with helping her. So much so that he’d nearly forgotten about the bell entirely until the birds reminded him about it.Thus, Sera had no choice but to sprint back which was...a feat onto itself as he’d never been the most athletic to begin with. But, was better to be late then not show up at all right?

His lungs were burning at this point but, he was close now so there was that. However, upon turning the corner he was forced to stop before nearly running into someone. “Ah! I’m so sorry I-” Words are cut short as candy apple red eyes widen in both surprise as well as a bit of fear upon noticing that of all the people to run into at a time like this....it just had to be the headmaster himself. “I-uh...” Sera stumbled a moment, unsure just what to say between attempts to catch his breath from all the running he’d just done.

Ivory didn’t know how to react at all to that statement. To them, it sounded like it came out of a fortune cookie. Staring blankly at him, they simply replied, “My magic is nothing special, headmaster. You’re thinking too deeply.” That’s what they were assuming since they knew that physical strength wasn’t the top priority here at this school.

“...I’m not quite sure, headmaster.” Ivory wasn’t lying since they actually didn’t know what went on since they had to be helping out most of the booths. Then again, Hana most likely will tell them later about what happened in the VDC. So they kept a very neutral answer for now even if they were worried for her. Hopefully, she didn’t get into any trouble but worrying wasn’t going to help even if they didn’t outwardly show it. “Did you ask any one that was participating in the event? They might have a better idea.”
