4: Muse A collects seashells and is constantly out on the beach, but one morning they hear a Siren’s song and follow it, there they find Muse B. Muse B decides that instead of making a quick snack of Muse A they want to keep them, forever.
The biggest myth in the tales of sirens was the portrayal that sirens were only women. In reality, they could be said to have no gender, shapeshifting made gender less relevant, but many tended to favor one over another. Yoshiya tended towards being a man, though he did enjoy the ambiguity granted by these powers.
Sirens were also a bit territorial, and while some lured people in packs, Yoshiya preferred to work alone. He had claimed a long seashore, one side of some island, where caves were plentiful and the rocks jutted from the ground to create beautiful formations low to the water and high in the air. It was easy to sail in, it looked safe at first, but many ships had wrecked here.
Nowadays, the island was more populated, so he had to be careful, but picking off a lone human who had wandered too far away from the safety of the pristine beach was always easy. The night before, he’d managed to find a lone diver checking out what the area had looked like at night. He’d been an easy target, the promise of beauty untold hidden in one of the underwater caves, and with a bit of magic weaved in, the man forgot all about his pesky little need for air to breathe.
Humans were a rare treat though, he usually just stuck to fish. Hence why today he only sang for himself, far from the popular beach, taking the form of a human male, silk clothing hanging loose from his body as he sat on a rock in the craggy part of the shoreline. The wamth of the summer sun made him smile, as he weaved magic into his song for fun, letting the music be beautiful magical music for his own enjoyment.
