We have never been introduced to a female magician besides Athy. The fact that every wizard that has been introduced is male implies that the gender distribution among magicians is unequal and it is a rarity for a woman to be born a wizard. Is this why Obelia had a male-only succession up until recently? Could this be the reason why no one looked down on lp Jennette for being unable to wield magic and why they never discovered that lp Athy's mana had been stolen, because they never expected a female to have enough mana to do magic? I don't like the idea that the women in Obelia are genetically inferior to men when it comes to magic, but Plutos never striked me as a feminist writer so this sort of accidental misogyny lines up with everything else they had written. To circumvent that issue I'd rather imagine that magic manifests differently in women which is why the magical potential in girls is often overlooked and as a result of the unused mana that has damed up inside their body over the years it caused many of these girls to die early. Perhaps there are really fewer female magicians but they tend to be more powerful? Ambrose the founding queen of Obelia must have been quite powerful to be remembered still and Athy could rival a god and reshape the universe with the amount of the mana her body produces, but in-between these two we can find only portraits of male rulers.

I'm watching Cat Blanc again and I can't believe I haven't noticed this before, but since Ladybug and Cat Noir found Hawk Moth's lair, shouldn't they have immediately realized it's inside the Agreste mansion? Adrien should not be this surprised that Hawk Moth is his dad.

It makes no sense to me how Harrow from the 9th house, THE death cult house, is revolted by cannibalism, incest and necrophilia that the 3rd house practices. Considering that an entire generation of Harrow's planet consisted of 200 children and the ratio of nobles to commoners was roughly around 3%, that would make only 6 out of 200 people nobles. Added to that the fact that necomancer have lower birth rates and infertality issues. Harrowhark's family is probably incredibly inbred. It would also make much more sense for the 9th house to practice cannibalism and necrophila than the 3rd house, which is so wealthy that their house motto is literally "Three for the gleam of a jewel or a smile". The 9th house is so poor they don't even know what vegetables look like and Harrow, the Reverent's daughter, had never drank tea before until the lyctorhood trials. They reuse body parts for anything. The thought that some would eat their deads to honor them or simply out of necessarity because they were malnourished and lacked nutrients seems very plausible to me. Harrow's family had no moral qualms about gassing 200 children to ensure the birth of their miracle baby. Would what little morals they had left really hold them back from feeding their subjects corpses to ensure the continued existence of their population?

Yi City makes so little sense because it is both:

1- an IMPORTANT ECONOMIC HUB of funerary crafts that thrive on such a specific market, which is only possible if it is the best of the best (hence, gets enough province-wide recognition that this kind of craft alone becomes a sustainable source of income),

2- and a DEAD TOWN with terrible feng-shui, short life expectancies and so little contact with the outside world that nobody missed them or even realized that the population had been decimated within a decade. 

THE ONLY WAY for both these seemingly mutually exclusive facts to be true, is that Yi City was in a dual rivalling oligopoly of funerary crafts with some other town in the same region (think Cocacola and Pepsi, McDonnalds and Burger King, but with coffins), and therefore they were originally well-off in terms of demand, but there was a big and competent source of offer to make up easily for their disappearance. They sold well their wares, but were not missed afterwards ‘cause someone smoothly took over their share of the market.  

The now very rich citizens of Tombstone must have a whole shrine dedicated to Xue Yang, that’s what I’m saying.

Jas tells the Farmer that they smell like grass. Wait... doesn't she live on a ranch? Where her aunt cares for cows and horses and other animals? Wouldn't they smell worse than grass? I can't imagine she can ever fully escape that scent. I live 5-10 miles (depending on the direction) away from cows on the edge of farm country IRL, and I can still smell cows some nights if the wind blows just right. Let me tell you. It's not a pleasant scent. 🤢🐄
