I don't have words for the past few week's.... My heart hurts for Paris, my soul is crushed by the police shootings around our country and I still can't even put into words my feelings about the mass shooting in Texas. Honestly, I'm scared and sad and angry and frustrated all at the same time. My daughter was born only weeks after 9/11, I knew then that her world would be much different than the one I grew up in, but I could have never imagined all of the horrific events that have taken place over the last 14 years that seem to now be the new normal. This quote from Anthony Douglas seems to sum up everything I am feeling....I just can't help but imagine a world where we all come together, accept each others differences and choose to live our lives in peace. I will not be sharing any other posts across our social media today, it just doesn't feel respectful to all of the beautiful souls that have lost their lives.
