I colored an old picture of Nephi that I had drawn years ago (probably in 2018). It was sitting as a sketch for a long time and I finally got it done. I do like how it turned out given I had never drawn Nephi before, though if I do draw him again it’ll be when my art has improved. Still, I am proud of myself. He is one of my top favorite prophets from the Book of Mormon.

In the redwoods we found this plaque that said: “You shall walk where only the wind has walked before, and when all music is stilled you shall hear the singing of the stream and enter the living shelter of the forest,” and the spirit of the place where that memorial stood was so peaceful and welcoming, the reverence there was tangible. I thought that was a good summary of what I am grateful for today, the natural world. I am blessed to live in a world enriched with beautiful flora and fauna that has captured my eye and imagination since I was a little girl. I am blessed to have kinship and family with the creatures that live in my home with me, to learn and love with them. I love hearing the birds and the bell jingling on my Kitty’s collar when he runs up the stairs. I love the roar of the ocean, and the smell of the rain in the air. I love how almost every flower petal sparkles in the light when you look closely, and how colorful animal’s eyes are. I love raising my plant babies and seeing new growth and flowers pop up, learning about their soil recipes and scientific classification. I love how much balance and peace I find by being in the “living shelter of the forest” and how the thrum of a purr or the nudge of a wet nose can soothe the heartaches of life. I love watching the residents’ eyes light up when a bird comes to the birdbath or a raccoon eats all the cat food, or they get to feed some carrots to a horse. I am grateful to have a grandpa that taught me the names of all the birds, and shared his binoculars. I am grateful that I’ve been blessed to see heavenly marvels driving late at night, and falcons hunting, and foxes drinking and herds of antelope in the desert and elk in velvet. I am exquisitely blessed to live in such a beautiful world, one day destined to be even more beautiful. Hi everybody. Happy Easter Sunday! This is a really special, sacred day. I just wanted to share this beautiful 1 minute video to share the spirit of Easter and of the resurrected Savior Jesus Christ. I hope it touches somebody like it touches me. :)

This is me sitting in my seat at @cineplexmovies waiting for @thechosentvseries to begin! I treated myself to tonight's showing of 'The Chosen' as a birthday gift because my 35th birthday is tomorrow (November 23) and I was excited about this being available in my area. For the record, the first two episodes were so beautiful and I wish there was a way I could see the rest of the series in an affordable manner. Heck, if they were casting for the series, I would even love to audition for it. I know I didn’t go as good with the hands as intended ^^’ this was originally supposed to be for Easter, but I got behind on other things. I’ll do better in the future. Anyhow, I decided to do something simple with a very clear message from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Something I noticed as a older teen/young adult was the fact that although Christ was resurrected, he still had the marks on His hands and wrists. And it was then that I realized that He doesn’t want to forget us. He died for us. Each of us, individually. It really touched me and I really like this Isaiah scripture because it’s proof that Jesus has not forgotten us, and we should never forget Him for what he did all those 2,000+ years ago.
