Cuphead & Mugman: who’s the better father figure to you both, King Dice or Dr. Khal?

I'm wondering, what happened to chef saltbaker?

Is he infected? Or did he somehow survived?

And why did he start this infection?

I'll go ahead and answer this in an OOC post:

Saltbaker's whereabouts and infection status are currently unknown to the main cast of survivors (Cuphead, Mugman, Hilda, Sally, Spectre, Dr. Kahl, King Dice, Pirouette, Chips/Bets, Wheezy, and Chimes) but he's still around and important to the story ;)

And let's just say the infection was, well, an accident
