“ doesn’t everyone have something like that? ” humans were dreamers by nature — though not all had the drive to follow their fantasies or aspirations to fruition. for her, it was a dream of having the freedom to choose. to choose how she spends the rest of her days — with whom she spends that precious time, where she spends it — instead of having everything determined on her behalf by her father. and she’s always responded in kind, a “hellion of a child” as it was often put.
but alas, in recent times she has wondered if the constant back and forths ( the countless sabotaged marriages —— ) are truly worth it…or if she even deserves it, for that matter. “ i suppose in the so called “goddess’s” eyes, i likely don’t deserve what i want most. it’s frightening at times to think i may never get it, but… ” that won’t stop her from trying, though — not by a long shot.
“ but fearing one’s dreams not coming true is practically the same as giving up on living, so… ” her head tilts to the side, lips pressing together into a firm line. “ believing that you never deserved something at all is more or less the same thing — it’s a trap that one can entangled themselves in and is nearly impossible to escape from. if you want something bad enough, then you deserve it. it’s merely a matter of willpower to see how far you’re willing to go to attain it. i know i haven’t given up on my dreams yet. ”
