SETO KAIBA isn't known for wasting brain power on the mundane such as this. business-oriented, callous and focused, long-since has had the luxury of relaxation taken away from him. too proud to reclaim it.

however, here she is. speaking of stars, even as their travels tire them. how she manges to rouse him out of thoughts, head turning to her, to the vast darkness above them.

“ we're too close to the city, we won't see them for a while. ” and as much as seto wants to redirect the conversation to their travels, she QUELLS him.

“ there's a clearing a few miles away. once we get there, i'll show you. ”

for a man who's love language has all but vanished over all these years of turmoil, it seems impossible that there could be one that transcends it all.

He raises a brow as he tried to think of a decent rebuttal but he couldn’t think of one. Maybe she was right, he didn’t even realize it but just MAYBE Yusuke had a small bias towards the color green..which is proven by the fact that today he wore a green jacket as well. Tch, she really did put him into a corner, to the point that he was a little speechless. Who would have thought, the great Yusuke Urameshi would run out of smart remarks?

“Tch, well ya can’t blame a guy that’s finally found his look.” His gaze returned towards her. “So, are ya gonna buy this one? Let’s not forget you said we can hit the arcade once you’re done shopping..and the food court.” One way to get Yusuke to shop with you is the promise of treats and a little bit of gaming. He looked at her once more and nodded his head. “Though, the green look was a success, it never hurts t’ find a shorter dress. More legs never killed a person.” There was his signature grin, after an undoubtedly perverse remark.

hope!          the   very   thing   that   is   so   integra   to   her   own   existence ,       both  a  blessing  and  a  curse  .       she      is   all   too   familiar   with   the   delusions   of   grandeur,    of   hope   where   there   seems     to     be        none ,      like   in   a   mad   dash   for   jewel   shards   against   a   megalomaniac   across   all   of   japan ,  for   instance  .   the corners   of   her   mouth   are   soft   when   she   smiles ,   but   it   is   not   in   joy.

You breathe. You catch your breath. Your memories are of the past but you are no longer a boy. You are no longer fighting to save the world. You have laid to rest pieces of you. Atem is aware of the weight he carries. The lingering reminder of everything he sacrificed. He is alive and mortal in the world and the times have changed. He is no longer fighting evil and saving humankind. The darkness remains there but a hidden gift for those to inflict harm on harmless people. But Atem allows himself to breathe for now. His fingers touching over solitaire cards, a game he’s playing just for enjoyment.  No longer worried about the life concerning duel monsers or any of that.

OH     ,     what a mess! kitchen utensils astray, burned eggs and everything else which causes internal anguish to ren. he did not fully blame her. the look he gives the pan signifies that this one belonged longer than now to be in the trash.

so he brings it to a place for safekeeping. luckily i had already opened the door of the lawn, he thinks to himself as the earlier scent of ash is long gone.

“ it is fine, ” he replies while he’s already searching for his phone, “ i’ll call up sojiro-san to see if he has some reserve curry for us. ”

HE     sees usagi dash towards a certain direction. with them both in shibuya ren could easily pull the conclusion she’s going to some part-time job or something akin to it. i wonder if she’s doing alright, he thinks to himself, i saw her smiling yesterday, but it didn’t reach her eyes.

he flips open his phonecase and unlocks the screen. ren taps on a certain browser’s app icon. he types something in google to check for the nearest, cutest cafe. maybe i’ll invite her for lunch tomorrow.

I think it looks like they may be all out of stock... ❜  T E A S I N G  Usako was just another way the prince showed his  l o v e , but the truth was, he couldn’t stand going on these last minute grocery runs  w i t h o u  t  her anymore, not after having gotten so used to her company, even if she did like to pile on the sweets.
