Juniper shifted a little, nestling herself comfortably against her girlfriend, whose arms she was comfortably settled in now that she’d adjusted a bit. She felt the redhead’s finger reach a bit of hair near her forehead and turned her head so that she saw Athena’s expression. At first, she hadn’t been entirely certain what had caused her to ask it in the first place. It had seemed more like a thought that had come into her mind out of nowhere, but the more she reflected on it, the more she was beginning to understand her thought process, even if it didn’t make a whole lot of sense to her that her mind had gone that far in the first place.

“Well...my mind drifted a little freely for a moment, thinking about how different my life would be if things hadn’t worked out as they did, not only with you coming back at the right time but...honestly, who knows where I’d be, if it hadn’t been for you? I might be working on running some flower shop or something else that fits my nature, and there’s no doubt in my mind that I’d find fulfillment and joy in doing something like that but...because of you I’m set on a path to become a judge instead, and to know I’m working toward something so important and meaningful as taking care of our law system...I feel like you just being in my life alone has made me believe I can be something greater than I ever would’ve dreamed of on my own...not that I’m ever going to stop tending to plants anytime soon, of course.”
