They're all amazing writers who portray their characters wonderfully and I appreciate them going out of their way to make me feel welcomed in a community I wasn't sure I'd fit into at first. They each deserve all the love in the world. From the roleplay replies to the OOC talk, these writers are worth the follow and I can't thank them enough for giving me a chance to RP with them.

HAPPY 60TH ANNIVERSARY, DOCTOR WHO! I made this short little animatic for today's session and embarrassingly showed it to my gang ( @vonerde/@metrictita @heartsglass and @lunaetis) while absolutely cringing at my Dalek voices. But I wanted to share it. At the very least to have somewhere where I can share it at the very least! Features the design claims I use for this universe's Daleks.

@heartsglass sent   »»   A  hot  cup  of  coffee  was  set  before  the  woman,  a  bear  —  though  albeit  disfigured  —  latte  art  decorated  the  surface.  The  barista  offered  her  a  small  smile  before  he  stepped  back  with  a  small  clear  of  his  throat.  He  knew  she  didn't  order  it,  but  the  cafe  he  ran  was  empty  and  he  was  experimenting  on  some  new  flavors.  "On  the  house,"  he  spoke  out,  grey  eyes  gleaming  expectantly.  Ari  was  excited  about  getting  her  input.

                      rosy  pink  eyes  blink  up  at  the  stranger  at  first,  confused.   she  hadn't  ordered  anything  just  yet,  and  the  confusion  is  writ  plain  on  her  face.   paired  with  her  pointing  and  shaking  her  head,  she  hoped  that  the  small  gestures  were  understood.   (  '  i  didn't  order  this.  '   )   her  concerns  were  soon  quieted  as  he  spoke  and  assured  her  that  this  was  no  mistake.   in  response,  she  looks  back  to  the  cup  with  the  disfigured  bear.   even  if  it  wasn't  as  perfect  as  some  latte  art  she  had  seen  while  scrolling  social  media,  it  was  still  cute   –   and  she  managed  a  smile  in  response.

                   she  lifted  the  cup  up  to  take  a  careful  sip,  and  set  it  back  down.   letting  the  flavor  rest  and  swell  on  her  tongue  just  for  a  moment,  she  finally  raised  a  hand  to  give  a  small  thumbs  up.   it  was  delicious.   she  then  reached  for  her  phone  and  opened  up  the  notepad  to  type  for  a  few  seconds,  the  sound  of  the  phone  clacking  with  each  letter  typed  on  the  screen.   she  then  held  it  up  for  him  to  read.   «   thank  you  for  the  coffee.   it  was  delicious!   the  bear  was  cute, too.  »

037. the edge of a cliff, overlooking the rough waves and distant sounds of approaching danger.

Kokoro was already out of breath from running by the time he found her, and Yasu's men weren't far behind, but there wasn't anywhere else left to go... but down. Hiei peered over the edge.

There wasn't enough time to climb down, even if Kokoro could manage it on her own. What he needed was a drop. One that he could manage with a burden attached, preferably without having to ruin his sword in the process. He could always use the blade as an anchor, in the cliff-side but... then he would have to find a replacement, and that was always a pain.

After a quick scan, Hiei found what he was looking for. Provided, of course, that the ledge of rock he'd just chosen was stable, and wouldn't shear on impact, sending them both crashing down into the surf. That was always a possibility.

But, he would deal with that when and if it happened. He didn't have time to waste just standing around thinking about it.

So he walked up to Kokoro, grabbed both of her hands, turned around, and yanked both of her arms unceremoniously over his shoulders.

" Hold on tight, and try not to scream. We're going over the edge. "

Although, he supposed, if she did scream, perhaps Yasu's men would believe she had simply fallen to her death, and they would finally give up on collecting their debts. Unlikely. And he would still have to deal with a human screaming in his ear. So he'd much rather she didn't.

“I think you need to get some better shoes. You’re gonna slip and slide all over the place in those things, with all the ice around.” — from kokoro

He visibly frowns even before the statement is finished. Perhaps at a glance the footwear he'd chosen were ...unusual. Compared to the more casually dressed maybe.

"They're a military grade boot, if I slip then the problem is much greater than my having impractical footwear." He replies. Folding his arms over his chest. "I do not own anything else regardless."

Nothing that was more practical at least.

odalia seems a quaint little town,   quiet and enough out of the way that he hardly feels the shudder of uncertainty here in the leaves and the ground.   there is still quite a bit of magic here,   though.   it is what draws him to one of the little town's shows   ( as a late visitor,   of course,   a lurker in the back of the crowd ),   and he's delighted to see that they've managed to combine the skill with their dance.   it's not something he could ever perform himself ;   his focus,   when performing anything at all,   lies in illusionary magic.   nothing like this.

since the town is so small,   he's looking forward to running into the star of the show,   no matter if it takes a few hours post-piece.   when he eventually does,   wandering the paths outside odalia,   he's more than eager to greet @heartsglass.    ❝    are you the very same one i saw in the show earlier this afternoon ?   ❞    asks the wizard.   he stands confidently in the midst of her path,   though after gaining her attention,   he moves a few steps off.    ❝    if so … you have a very interesting way of using your magic.    ❞

he's  in  an  awful  mood  —  that  on  its  own  isn't  ESPECIALLY  unusual.  the  wanderer  is  a terribly mercurial  creature  even  at  the  best  of  times.  his  emotions  run  fierce,  no  matter  how  he  may  try  to  smother  them  beneath  a  veneer  of  apathy.  however,  in  this  particular  instance,  he  thinks  he  has  every  right  to  be  IRRITATED.  dragonspine  is  an  inhospitable  place;  a massive  tombstone  oft  mistaken  for  a  mountain.  when  left  to  his  own  devices,  ren  may  sometimes  find  himself  scaling  its  frigid  peak  —  a  puppet  has  little  reason  to  fear  the  chill,  after  all. it's a decent place to seek out precious solitude.  however,  it's  one  thing  to  venture  out  to  such  a  dangerous  location  of  his  own  free  will.  it's  another  matter  entirely  to  be  asked  to  go  there  when  he  has  no  plans  nor  any  true  desire  to.

it  doesn't  help  that  he's  beginning  to  SUSPECT  they're  going in circles —  which  is  but  another  inconvenienced  added  atop  the  pile  for  him,  but  for  the  traveler,  it  may  very  well  be  a  matter  of  some  concern.  he  isn't  sure how well equipped she is for the COLD.

❝  you  pick  the  nicest  places  to  get  LOST  in.  ❞   the  wanderer  muses  aloud,  raising  his  voice  slightly  to  be  heard  over  the hissing  wind.  he  has  half  a  mind  to  see  if  he  can  stop  it  from  blowing  so  harshly  with  his  own  POWER.  it's  unfortunate  his  vision  is  still  such  a  terribly  new  thing;  he  can  slice  anything  that  stands  in  his  way  to  pieces,  but  tasks  that  require  more  finesse  are  a  bit  too tricky  to  manage reliably.  ❝  do  you  remember  why  you  wanted  to  come  here  so  badly,  or  did  you  just  want  to  do  a  little  sightseeing?  ❞  he  punctuates  the  question  with  a  sweeping  wave;  the  sights,  as  far  as  ren  can  tell,  are  snow ...  and  not  much  else  beyond  that.
