Readers used to get real mad when I wrote Harry as being kind of a dick to his kids sometimes (cursed child compliant I guess) but I think it's pretty in character for him to have slightly over the top reactions to certain things considering his childhood and what kind of person he is and the fact he has deep trauma, was a child of war, grew up in a war, literally sacrificed himself for that war. He's overprotective of his children and loves them intensely, getting overwhelmed and yelling feels like a very valid and expected response to his children being in danger, hurt, or antagonistic. Does he need therapy? Yes of course he does, but that's not the point I'm trying to make here.

Anyway this is all to say he's about to crash out in fic, but it's a completely valid crash out, let my man freak out a little, he's earned it, he'll be fine.
