Look at my babies! These are the innards of some eucalypt samples for honours. After boiling them in solution for 12 odd hours, the cuticles are taken off for stomatal & cell undulation analysis and these are left over! It's fantastic. Look at all the wee veins! ((Honours is death can I hire someone to help with lab work??? Draft my lit review?? Anything???)

So this honours project in geology that I’m going for (100% botany, really): It’s trying to identify weather closed or open canopies can change the carbon isotope signature in leaves, which has implications for reconstructing ancient canopy structures and climates. :)
The supervisor has hinted that she already has some samples from rainforest we would be working on sent here, I’m hoping to start the lab work before actual offers even come out (1.5 months away!! I can’t wait that long to know!!). She’s also about to start me on some volunteer project but tbh I’d love to just not, and get honours started 5 months early :D So excited!! I saw her at an info session where all the projects were officially released, and she was asking me what I thought of others/is the rainforest still interesting (She really wants me to do the project :D).
me graduating this September all hangs on this one assignment that I arranged to hand up early from Winter School, but I just found out my professor didn’t get it bc ME BEING A DUMB send it to an old email of his >.< >.< kill me omfg He now has 12 hours to mark it, I hope he’s kind enough to do so I feel so bad!! He’s always really busy and “hi pls mark my undergrad right now so I can graduate with my friends tnxx” hhhhhh
I mean on the other hand, this is the subject that I had a bro-out with over heavy metal an the Mighty Boosh so if all else fails... I’ll just write lyrics and quotes where science answers should be...
Must... Sleep... Exam stress... Winning.... In two days- no! One and half! I'll be done with exams FOREVER. 4.5 years... I keep feeling like I need to cry and I can't tell if it's because I'm about to crack or I'm happy it's over I DONT KNOW. I just want to sit on my bum and do nothing for an hour.. and I think I've finally come to a decision about honours.. 🙌🙈 Sorry Ecology, you hella important, but the heart wins this decision... Geology here I come?? Maybe???
