Oh, Heather. *A barely there smile with a peek of fangs* Why don't we get to know each other a little better, hmm? After all, we should have been part of the same Family. 5, 12, 30, 31, 43
Heather regards Wynter calmly, almost coolly. "Of course, Ms. della Passaglia. I'm sure your time is very valuable, I certainly know mine is," a thin smile, "So I'll get right to it."
5. What's something that you're Sire never told you that probably should have told you from the get go?
"That's hard to say. Probably everything, actually. Clans, sects, stuff like that. Well," it pauses. "He did tell me those things, to be clear, but he should have told me about them in a way that would make it seem worth listening to. At the time I was not under the impression that I would find a reason not to walk directly into the dawn, so I didn't absorb anything." It shrugs. "Lessons learned."
12. Who are you secretly jealous of?
It stares at Wynter for a long, silent moment. "Well it wouldn't be a secret if I shared, now would it?" It thinks for a long moment. "I do get nostalgic sometimes. About what could have been. I have my regrets I suppose, but I don't think I would have survived if I had been embraced Hecata. I don't think I would have learned to survive."
It takes a breath, if only to give a reason to the following pause.
"I don't think it's jealousy to admit that I wish my tenure as a ghoul and my embrace had been less unpleasant, and to wish I could be someone afforded a smoother transition in that respect."
30. What's your breaking point?
"Haven't found it yet," it lies. It lights a cigar and offers one to Wynter as well. "Some would argue that begging to be embraced when I was rotting from radiation sickness was a breaking point, but," it gestures lightly towards itself, fingertips only just barely gracing its shoulders. "Here I am. Quite unbroken."
31. What anchors you to your Humanity?
Its lips split into a slow grin, gums only just visible, tinted gray-blue around its teeth. "Bad sex and clean kitchens, Ms. della Passaglia. I recommend both. I have recipes I can share, if you fancy baking."
43. What song is your unlife?
"Mm, so far?" It produces a phone--with a touchscreen--from its pocket. The device seems to work just fine. Its thumb passes across the screen several times, scrolling, short nails painted with a cool, light blue varnish.
"Well I have music I enjoy of course, oldies mostly even if they were before my time. I have been branching out a bit though. 'Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool' by The Editors makes me think of my current work as an accountant, though it's newer than most of what I listen to, and I quite like it. It makes me think of some well-seasoned tartare also."
