SOCIAL DISTANCING DAY 574. Well, headed back to work in the morning so I guess that concludes the daily Quarantine Life journal-ish project. And like an old-fashioned musical comedy, #quarantinelife is ending with a wedding. This one was set in a park. On a sunny fall day. My old friend Gus and new friend Heather met on an app (“Hinge,” which is represented by that crafty pillow in the first photo). Gus’s dad Neal is always a pleasure to see; I put on a tie (rare for me) and Marj wore a hat that made her feel like Kay in The Godfather wedding scene. They had us sign Jenga pieces (and made masks available, though with the breeze nobody felt it was necessary) and Gus’s new stepdaughter tied tin cans to the wheelchair her mom uses on occasion. That last photo is after being introduced as man and wife at the end of the ceremony, “Walking on Sunshine” came on and Heather & Gus danced down the aisle toward the catered charcuterie. Nice. #gusandheather #heatherandgus #outdoorwedding #nicefallday #nicefallweather cc: @go4gushy @hmap5 (at MacGregor Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CU3mgeNrGxg/?utm_medium=tumblr
