You can’t just have Mick say, “I’m Clyde. That’s Bonnie.” and not have them at least be a little interested in each other! I could accept Amaya and Nate much easier if they didn’t write Mick and Amaya as potential romantic interests.

Sometimes I wonder what the hell the DCTV writers be thinking.

I’m not 100% sure what you mean by acting weird?

Mick’s awkwardness at being hugged by her was 100% in character. And he’s been warning her away with his gruff attitude ever since she started to see beneath the surface a bit, going back a few episodes at least. Despite that, he’s calling her his friend, accepting the hug, and although he looked pretty deer-in-the-headlights about the cheek kiss, he did tilt his head down to accept it.

I agree that hallucination!Len’s lines over the episode were targeted toward not letting himself fall for Amaya lest he get himself killed because of it, but I don’t think that’s the cause for Mick’s... hesitation? Mick’s always demonstrated resistance to anything that makes him feel vulnerable, pushing back against feelings and emotional intimacy, against accepting an outlook of and for himself that differs from the view he has of himself (one that I would argue has a certain degree of self-loathing underpinning it). Beyond that, he didn’t seem to be doing anything particular to push her away, especially at the end of the episode. Beyond accepting the kiss, he also accepted the gift from her and seemed impressed that she stole it.

So I think the way he was acting, just in general, is a bit off-kilter, but that’s understandable considering that he’s literally hallucinating his dead partner. He’s also depressed, grieving still (clearly), and drinking way too damn much, and is generally unwell. So weird? Probably, but I don’t think it’s about her.
