Noise Exclusive: Hear Heavensake Throw It Back To Emo’s Glory Days With “Aftercolour”

It’s not every day a young up-and-coming band gets the opportunity to work with some of the more influential artists in our scene on more than one occasion. However, for upstart New Jersey outfit Heavensake, the band has been fortunate enough to spend time in the studio with some pretty big names.

First getting a chance to collaborate with ex-Chiodos frontman Craig Owens on their 2017 release Deforme, the Laurel Springs quintet is back with a brand new EP titled Post-Chroma produced by none-other than pop-punk and emo heroes Nik Bruzzese of Man Overboard and Ace Enders of The Early November. 

Letting Bruzzese and Enders’ influence shine through on their newest material, Heavensake’s latest is like a time machine back to the mid 2000′s. On their new single “Aftercolour,” which The Noise is stoked to be premiering today, the Jersey act transports listeners back to the days of MySpace and overly tight skinny jeans.

Touching on the emotions behind their moving new song, the band commented, “We all carry false identities that are put on us by ourselves or others. It’s on us to self-evaluate and do something about it. Shed the lies or believe them.”
