As the Southwest Monsoon continues to advance across Tamil Nadu, the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai has issued an orange weather alert for Coimbatore and the Nilgiris districts starting Tuesday, May 27, 2025, extending over the next four days. Residents and authorities are urged to stay vigilant, as heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in these areas, especially in the ghat regions.
