Some recent Hebrew practice (these are all from The First Hebrew Primer Third Edition, chapter 19 Commands and Numbers, tho yeah the first pic is actually Tanakh quotes, but as presented in the aforementioned book)

One of my favorite things about the Hebrew class I was taking last month (it was only a July thing unfortunately) was that our teacher made it a point to find the gender neutral forms of words (like verb conjugations and even singular they pronouns which like were created by nonbinary Hebrew speakers bc Hebrew is very gendered).
The only problem she really had with that was that it was hard to find the words written with the vowels.
Idk I just appreciated it.
We’re learning the nifal (נפעל) pattern in Hebrew now and I’m just like
Language with no morphological future tense vs language with no morphological present tense FIGHT
(Aka ‘to be’ is doing too many jobs in translating to English and I keep wanting to translate the imperfects to the future perfect in English “will have been” but that’s not really the point of the verb tense)
The Biblical Hebrew book throws clipped forms at us so little that my teacher and I cannot agree how they work because it’s been ten chapters since it was introduced so that was months ago
Love looking over Hebrew exercises in the Primer we use because sometimes you get sentences like
“Abraham took the holy book and he returned it to the tent at the appointed time”
and you’re like ok dude returned his library books good. And then you have
“And the great ram arose and killed the small animal and blood and bones were in the dust of the field.”
And suddenly you’re in the Animal Apocalypse of 1 Enoch
Like it’s just the authors of the book trying to use all the vocab they can but you get some real weird sentences sometimes.
My translation is probably a bit off, but I’m practicing. I really like handwriting Hebrew but I’m aware that my handwriting, no matter the language, is kind of rough. Especially when I’m not going particularly slow. We have vowel markings bc my book has them and I cannot read without them atm.
