Hey, does anyone know of any good resources (preferably apps or other online resources) to learn Hebrew and/or become more familiar with important prayers like the amidah or the v’ahavta (spelling???) or any of the other ones in the friday night siddur?
I’m a born jew but raised fairly secular (celebrated passover, rosh hashanah, and hannukah but not really anything else, didn’t go to synagogue regularly or any Hebrew school growing up, wasn’t bar mitzvah’d) but for the last six years I’ve been ramping up my observance, so now I keep kosher (mostly) and wear a kippah full time, and I just became a member at my synagogue, and hope to go to services at least once a month, if not more, which is why I want to be more familiar with the friday night siddur, since my unfamiliarity with it is a hurdle to going. I also hope to take advantage of my synagogue’s adult b’nei mitzvah classes when they come around again, which is part of the reason I want to start learning Hebrew.
I’m reform and go to a nondenominational synagogue that leans reform/reconstruction (and have asked my rabbi for resources too, he’s just not gotten back to me yet and I’m Impatient) if that’s important.
