ooc notes for the Hecate crew

So awesome players who are joining me on my mad little adventure, I would like to hear from you about the following:

Tumblr OOC or Discord OOC? For now we can use the dash but after a time I find that distracting!

Are there any triggers you wish to highlight to make sure people use? Keep in mind that this is a mature rpg. We will be trying to avoid the ‘nsfw’ tag as tumblr is on the hunt for that tag. Thoughts appreciated. 

Starter Rules. I personally am a bit ambivalent about them because I just find that all they do is make sure certain players never post open starters or they reply once to meet the quota and never again. However, I also want to make very sure no one feels ignored ever! Because that feels just awful. Do you want a starter rule? I will add one if the majority find them to be useful. Thoughts appreciated.

You will note that on each species page, I have challenged those of the supernatural species to develop the lore for their character’s species in collaboration with others. 

I really want this to be a collaborative game with lots of input from the players.

Things to think about in developing your lore:

Fundamentals - is their society matriarchal, patriarchal or egalitarian? How are decisions made? Who has the power?

Impact - what does that mean for in game play? For example, if the Werebears are a matriarchal society, does that mean there is a natural deference by the big powerful male Werebears toward the female Werebears, even if they are younger?

Difference - how does that species treat difference (ie sexuality, gender identity, disability etc etc)? Are they protective, accepting, rigid or unwelcoming etc?

Family Structure - how are babies raised? who does the raising? are males raised differently than females or all young treated the same?

Internal Politics - elected? best fighter? family legacy? For werewolves for example - are there Alphas, Betas and Omegas? How do you rise to power and how do you keep it? Is the child of an Alpha treated differently than an unacknowledged child of an Omega? Or is that old-fashioned now?

Sexy times - Does your species have ‘heats’ or ‘go into season’? If so, how often? How long does it last? Can they suppress it? Or do they just uncomfortably ride it out?

Feel free to add to this list - this was just everything that occurred to me when trying to develop the roleplay. I’d love to see your thoughts.

Since there are so few student witches currently so none of them have roommates at the moment. Do we play it as they have NPC roommates or just don't have one assigned currently?

Let’s have them with NPC for now. I am hopeful that we’ll get more witches soon and then we’ll start assigning roommates.

I'd be careful with Sabrina Carpenter as a fc. She's only 19 and doesn't have a lot of 'of age' resources.

Thank you for the thoughtful note. I have been assured by the writer that all the resources she has for Sabrina are 18+. In fairness to the writer, she mentioned this before I even had the chance to ask. 

If once in play, you have reason for concern, please approach me again off anon and I will raise the issue once again. This is not an issue I take lightly.

If someone already in group decides they want another character, are sideblogs okay?

Absolutely. 

Sideblogs or multi-muse (mumu) blogs are welcome here. Only the very first blog must be unique to the rp.
