Writing fanfiction sucks I am STRUGGLING here boys

#when I write or read a fic it's gonna be IN CHARACTER #and somewhat canon complaint unless specifically stated otherwise #like an AU or divergence or something #there are times when reading a fic i just went 'he would not fucking say that' and left fbsdjhg #but like. god. I was gonna draw something that was like “If I have to run on 30+ hours of no sleep then so does he” but I stopped myself and thought about how much abuse he already puts up with from Dedede and now I just want him to have a restful sleep because he deserves it

how do you roleplay?? like how do people feel confortable confortable doing that? how do you just go with the flow and feel okay making up a story without knowing what the other person is thinking???

#lmao i used to roleplay in middle school and i CANNOT remember how i felt so comfortable doing it #now i need to be explicitly told what to do at all times or i can't do it #i realize this post sounds kind of aggressive #i'm not shitting on roleplayers #i'm jealous of your ability to roleplay #i tried it once not too long ago and it was awful #i felt so embarrassed and had no idea what to do #i genuinely do need to be told what to do at all times lmao #i get too worried that i'm not doing what they're wanting me to do and that i'm taking the story in a different direction than they wanted #it causes me to be super boring #i just kinda go along with everything they do and don't make my own choices #god how do you roleplay?????#how do you do it #without having an anxiety attack over being a bad roleplay partner because you can't read their mind #heck man
