“Oscar gave it an incredible run and I wanna— I dunno know where he is— I wanna celebrate with him.” (x)
Some people want so badly for Thimble to be punished for being mean to their blorbos. This happened after the thing with Julien where they got into a spat, and now this is happening after increasing tension between Wick and Thimble. This time it was 'now Thimble has to learn that the Thjazi she knew and loved was more complex and he wasn't just a good guy because he was nice to her' and like.
She fucking knows that.
I don't know how else to say this. Anybody who thinks otherwise hasn't been paying attention.
She was the go between for Bolaire and Thjazi because they hated each other. Bolaire has a little joke about Thimble protecting him from a prick that, up until he told Hal and the others, was a joke that he could only have ever told to himself and Thimble. (And given how proud he was of it, he almost certainly told it more than once.) She apologized to Vaelus for her part in stealing the stone- thereby acknowledging that that this was a morally questionable action. They fought in a war together. She's a fucking thief and so was he and they both have worked in a criminal organization doing black market and gray market type stuff for fucking years.
There is just zero merit to the idea that she somehow thinks Thjazi is a perfect man who was above reproach.
Even if it were true that she somehow had missed that, the information wouldn't... do anything? It wouldn't do anything. It would maybe just make her grief more complex, but it doesn't move her characterization or the story forward at all. It's a fucking nothingburger. It's not interesting, it's not fun, it doesn't move the plot, it doesn't do anything for her character, all it does is punish her for loving the guy.
If you want a character who is dealing with shocking revelation about their concept of the world and the way it works and truth and lies, someone who's constantly stepping on the Rake of Realization, you are looking for Wicander Halovar.
And the way that Brennan is handling his story is a good example of how this would be going, if that's where Thimble's story was leading.
Solomon has resorted to chasing a child around school to taste test his food... Why is he so happily and obliviously sinister... 😭
Do you sometimes think how Bruce was very focused on his idea not to let Jason end up like his father (meaning Willis) that he completely missed the moment, when Jason ended up exactly like his dad. Meaning Bruce.
is anyone working on a tool to import world states into DAI…i fear the keep will be taken down given the recent event…
