The area was silent before several frogs began to pipe up, croaking, screeching, and honking. It was a symphony of <<L-o-v-e!>> <<L-o-v-e!>> <<L-o-v-e!>> <<L-o-v-e!>> Nymphaea heard, but didn’t completely acknowledge the returns. It was still something, though. And even she could appreciate that.

Shikoba chuckled and gave them a sheepish grin. She was tempted to tell them that she was, in fact, a goofy panther but relented. It would be gravely unwise to reveal such a secret to a dangerous stranger. After all, she wouldn't dare tell even someone she's close to! ...or rather, used to be close to.
