Sorry for the darkness, will take a better picture of it later.  I mostly don't post Hectar concepts at this stage. Some speculation doodling on an alien race in the Hup universe.  I'm not totally sure if this is a highly technological race, or more of a budding race or highly intelligent animal yet.  We'll see.  What I can say is that it is not an inhabitant of the planet of Hup itself. These guys are tripods, having two sturdy arms at the front, and a leaner but strong singular leg toward the rear end.  They seem to walk on an augmented knuckle, which folds around three dexterous fingers in the palm.  Their bodies are compacted structures, with no significant skeletal movement in what would be perceived as the torso.  They've also very short necks with a somewhat large head.  At the top of their head is an organ much like an inflatable air sac, with a melon-like structure closest to the skull.  This sac is used both for communication and as a hearing apparatus, with some level of display.  These creatures have four eyes, and large nostrils.  Their mouths are centralized on a tongue-like extension, which seems only effective for siphon feeding. hmmm The universe of Hup (c) Morgan Banks. I promised more Aliens of hectar that are involved in the world of Hup.  I decided to play around with one that had a different shape to things I normally work with.  These are Alakatuga people, a scholarly alien race who were discovered by the Kolendians and invited into the space fairing societies under the promise of knowledge and the ability to gather, maintain and write historical records across the Baalsii sectors.  They are not far ranging or particularly common to see, but can usually be assumed to have a hand in scientific societies studying planets and the people's of those planets.   Alakatugan aliens, and the galaxy of hectar (c) Morgan Banks Suppport me on Patreon

Rick is a berry connoisseur, but he's very modest in his tasting. He doesn't like to boast or expound more about a berry then he needs to. This leads many to think he's either simple, or exceedingly deep. He sometimes does work for Tasty Plains Farm in order to assure their quality, and is good friends with Hectar the Nectar Inspector. His favorite berry is Passho.

Hectar works on Tasty Plains Farm as a honey analyst. A substance investigator. A Delicious things looker-atter. He is Hectar the Nectar Inspector, and he is very good at his job. He takes no shit and doesn’t play around. Although he is small and unassuming at first glance, he has a lot of experience with critiqueing many different nectars and can assess certain crop’s qualities by just a taste. His only weakness is that he’s easily distracted by his messy paws, and cleans them almost religiously.
