Hedgehog help

So I'm getting 2 hedgehogs in two months and I need to be prepared. I need help with *Cages *Food *toys *snuggle sack Whatever else they need. Any advice or comments are welcome.

Do hedgehogs make chirping sounds? At night, my hedgehog plays with his toys and starts a series of short chirping. Is it a good thing? I don’t know any other way to explain the sounds. Oh, and I’m pretty sure it’s not mating squeals.

Hedgehog help, escaping Houdini

I have a cubes and Coroplast cage, the sides of the coroplast are about an inch smaller than the cubes which are about 14-15 inches tall. My hedgie is somehow climbing this and escaping his cage. I have the Lids wired shut, meaning a piece of wire holds the lids in place should my cats ever try to paw at the cage, but somehow, he's still getting out. I've been woken up at 2 and 4 am today because I've heard his familiar hissing in my room, and sure enough, I found him under my bed and under my dresser. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I'm at a lost of what to do and have put him into his old cage for the rest of the night as the lid locks on this one and there should be no way he can get out. But this cage is smaller and doesn't fit his wheel, and I've spent so much already on his c&c. Should I add some more height? Any suggestions on how to fix this would be wonderful. Thank you.

got a baby hedgehog today! His name is Quilliam. He's 3 months old, really shy, and seems to like bananas.

I only know basic hedgehog care, so if anyone has experience with hedgies and have any tips to share, It would be a big help!

Hoglet Update: Red Rash/irritation?!

Cas is now eating crushed cat food! His stool is no longer liquid but is not solid either. He is no longer bloated! However it appears his anal region is irritated. The tail and surrounding area is bright pink/red. Is this normal after a hedgie has dihharea or is it serious?
