Oh, no. She was so very late.

She had promised to be the one to bring the ice cream that day, but the mission took longer than expected thanks to a couple of pesky green requiems that just wouldn’t stop running away from her. But Xion had a quota to fulfill, and there was no way she could go back before she had completed the task. Failing one of the missions given by Axel was most definitely among the top things she didn’t feel like doing — the man was real scary.

“Sorry I’m late!” she announced as she stepped out of the corridor, at the top of the clock tower where the three of them used to meet.

She blinked rapidly as she examined her surroundings. Saïx was alone, no trace of their other friend.

“Uh, hasn’t Roxas arrived yet?” she asked as she handed him one of the three popsicles.
