Ok, I've used this height chart before, but it was last August, so not only am I posting it again (on its own), but I added someone to it (right there in the middle) for a fun comparison.

It's me!

Really, actually me, clipped from a photo of me at a past Dragon Con (it was an easy one to silhouette; I was wearing my Casual Commander Shepard cosplay). Lined up with all my Dragon Age ladies and their love interests, in silhouette form.

Yes, I'm also taller than Fenris and Lucanis. My Hawke and I are actually the same height.

(Alistair's height was pulled from a reddit thread from a number of years ago, where someone estimated his height based on the scale of his official statuette and his proportions, and while I'm not entirely sure their math was accurate, I still like the idea of "Fereldans in general trend toward tall" and also "Fereldans with longer noble pedigrees trend a little extra tall.")

I was crawling through the internet archive today because of a reference post I've come across on Tumblr and discovered that there is a style guide for Gargoyles on there. Naturally, since that is my comfort show and I've been obsessed with it since I was like 6, I had to look at it. Which has reminded me of a major disagreement I have had with the 'official' heights since I learned them: Lexington is not fucking 5-foot-anything.

Let me explain. Lexington is listed canonically as being 5'5" (156cm). Which considering he has a tendency of being on all fours or just crouched really low a lot of the time - I confess it is really hard to guess his actual height. But when you look at the comparisons:

Specifically this one since they're all standing:

There's just no way Lexington is past 5' even at most. Brooklyn and Broadway are both canonically 6' (182.88cm) and Goliath is 7' (213.36cm) which seems about right though most of the time Brooklyn does look slightly shorter than Broadway. I did pop heights into HeightComparison.com and 5' (152cm) seems to line up better with the reference.

I do recognize that there were animation inconsistencies in the show and heights honestly were one of those things that sometimes varied. Example, Elisa looks taller than both Brooklyn and Lexington in the comparison chart but when they stand next to each other in the show, he's obviously much taller since he's still crouching a little in this shot.

Granted I think Elisa is also fairly tall, around 5'10" (177cm) (The style guide didn't confirm her height) because she's close in height to Hudson and is consistently around shoulder height to Goliath which probably also skewed my idea about how tall everyone was in this show.

But yeah, TLDR: Lexington's official height has bugged me ever since I saw it because there is no possible way he's pushing past 5' (152cm) even.

So ... Wayhaven might have snagged my brain again. Which means we get to see which detectives survived in my head to be replayed!

This time, two of them survived the new play test round, namely Kathryn Langford and Lizzie Greene. Newcomers on the block are Matilda Beaufort and Liadan Donnelly. I also did a bit of face claim headcanoning for the fellas, as you can see.
