About me:

Hello! I'm stygianeyedev, an indie dev who has had the pleasure of working with some lovely individuals to begin putting all the stories in my head out into the world.

Sacrarium Pario bug reports can be submitted here.

Blog Purposes:

First and foremost, this blog is meant to be a devlog for my games. It's where I try to keep people up to date about my games and their status.

You can find my ko-fi here, but please only donate if you like my work for the games. If it's the other stuff (the art, the GUI, the music, the VO, etc), I would prefer you go throw your money at the people who made that part.

Ask Box Rules:

Misgendering in asks will result in the ask being deleted. Most of the time this is just auto-correct or people not knowing, so first offense will just be the ask being deleted. Multiple repeat offenses will result in the user being blocked.

Any ask that is deemed suspicious will be ignored. To give you an example: I once received a very uncomfortable ask where someone implied that Violo deserved to have been abused. I assumed bad faith and deleted it.

Bigotry will result in asks being deleted. If the offense is severe enough (AKA: it's not a typo or just bad phrasing), the user will be blocked.

Do not send the same ask 5+ times. You can send the exact same ask TWICE - just in case the ask box ate it the first time. If I have not answered an ask that has been sent twice that means: I am holding the ask for later OR I've already answered that ask enough times already.

Sacrarium Specific Rules:

Asks about children/family/marriage will be auto-deleted. These asks have been answered previously on the blog in detail.

Asks about the Voidlight or Fatebringer leaving VV or Amare will be auto-deleted. High Affection VLs and FBs do not want to canonically leave their respective partners. Thus, anything like that would fall into headcannon.

Asks about how the Wardens would react to *insert deity characters from other games* will generally be deleted unless I think there is something I can add to it.

Modern!AU asks will generally be kept for later release for whenever I want to chat about modern!AUs.

Can I make X?

Rules of thumb:

Don't try to make money off it.

Don't claim that my stuff is your stuff.

Don't feed it to an A.I. generator.

Don't use my brand to promote hateful or illegal ideologies.

Don't claim to speak on behalf of me or my games.

Specific Notes:

Fanart - yes, so long as it is not hateful nor behind a paywall. Obviously, if someone commissions you to draw one of my characters with their PC or to make a one off item like a mug or t-shirt, that is fine. Just don't make anything mass produced to sell (like prints, mugs, etc).

Fanfic - SFW/NSFW are perfectly fine. No money exchange allowed, as that begins to put us in a legal gray zone I do not want to have to navigate.

Fangames - Not allowed to prevent brand confusion. I'm not a AAA studio like Nintendo, so confusion is far more likely.

"What feeling?" I ask with a frown.

"Fatigue." They tilt their head back for a moment, "I've never known this kind of exhaustion in my life. I come from a land of eternal waking and eternal sleep, hand in hand. With a life so safe, so secure...one never had to be exhausted about anything."

"Seriously? Nothing at all? You make it sound like paradise."

"Don't get me wrong," They looked back at me with a polite smile, "We had negative things like awkwardness, grief, discomfort. We just never had...fatigue. If you started to feel bad, it was common to go to one of the lounging spots or spend time with your family. Never before this new existence of mine did I ever truly feel tired."

"And now?"

"I can't remember the last time I felt rested."

His aunt was far more gentle in comparison, so her more brusque nature will make him think she hates him for a while lol.

Hii! I was wondering how would the LI's would react to the mc who has some amount of plushies and kisses them goodnight every night? Would they idk get jealous or find it cute?

There are far older asks about plushies actually. I would recommend looking them up.

Most of them don't mind it at all. Necare & Heimos are in the neutral party. Amare is slightly leaning towards jealousy. VV will be ferociously jealous.

They came out sooooo good!!!! Amazing work. Viv's hair came out wonderful, and I love the gold on Violo.

I'm really glad I got to see them before Bsky realized what region I am in and hit my with an age verification prompt. While I'm pushing 30 I'm debating whether or not to actually complete it given what they're asking.

No. They're closer to Jesus or Hercules. Powerful beings in their own right, but not Gods.

'Tis pride month, so why not break my usual rule of "What if in XYZ fandom" to talk about match-ups in an Alnst AU. Obviously, spoilers for Alien Stage implied below.

So I had to think about it a bit.

While the obvious trio of Mizi, Till, and Ivan are blatantly Heimos, Violo, Vivere, I ran into the issue of what the fuck to do about Sua, Luka, and Hyuna. Short answer I came to is that Luka would definitely be Snake. Sua & Hyuna is where it gets rough and borderline impossible lol

So let's switch it around to be older kid! Amare looking out for younger kid!Heimos rather than a romantic thing for one another. Then Amare goes out first because older kid responsibilities.

And then Necare becomes unwitting obsession for Snake, and Mayuhk is her little brother who Snake kills. She still gets shot because her principles make her want him to be better.

Though obviously it would be better if Amare was Hyuna because it would make Snake make more sense. I guess you could also make Necare fill the older kid! looking after a younger!Heimos too in that sense. I just feel like the vibes of Hyuna fit Necare better.

Now in a world where we aren't adhering to the pre-existing songs.

Obviously all Wardens would throw a match if their MC was involved.

Amare would throw their match for any other Warden with the exception of it being a case where Heimos might progress up into a round against them. In which case they will become ruthless to ensure Heimos makes it to the next round. Amare would also let the Keybell beat them, but would be relentless against the Voidlight or Greatsmith.

Necare ironically also dies a lot the except being against Amare (who would throw).

Heimos wins against anyone except for Vivere & any other Warden's MC because in that match he'd likely just let himself lose.

Violo would win against Amare & Necare, but would throw if Heimos was his opponent. He'd try to lose against Vivere, but Viv ain't letting that happen, no no.

Viv would only lose to Violo and would relentlessly get to a stage to protect him if at all possible. The obvious exception to this being the Voidlight ofc. They would relentlessly beat the Keybell, Fatebringer, and Greatsmith.

Hi there! I'm having a lot of fun playing through WRBC! I've gotten 3 friendship ends and I'm aiming for the romance endings next!

Can you share how many endings there are total? I only know there are 2 good endings per route, one romantic and one platonic.

Are there any alternate routes that you can miss even if you get all the endings, like how Pario has the attentive route that you can miss by using the neutral and affectionate routes to get the endings?

There are:

6 Good Endings (Yukimura Friend, Yukimura Romance, Zahir Friend, Zahir Romance, Duo Friend, Poly Romance).

1 Neutral End. This is pretty easy to get, just don't encourage the two to stay, but do let them help out with the investigation until it is resolved. You don't need them for the festival though.

3 Bad Ends (1 Where you Trust [Redacted] Until the End, 1 Where you Trust [Redacted] Until the final choice, 1 Where you arrest [Redacted] but Zahir & Yukimura's affection scores are in the negatives, so you boot them out).

So 10 in total. There aren't any routes like Attention, at least in my opinion. You can get all of the bad endings pretty quickly on one run as long as you save in the right spots. Or, you should be able to.

I need to stop reading stuff that jogs my memory on old ideas I shelved.

Because then I get brainworms about it, and they wriggle relentlessly until I do something that reminds myself of why I shelved it.

Case in point the OG game that Project IC is in the world of would only be feasible as an IF. However I forgot how much I hate fiddling with the NVL GUI in Ren'py until I did it again recently. That luckily helped me shelve that.

Problem is this other old idea is a much simpler, classic VN style game (aka: no dynamic affection system. You make the right choices to get the appropriate ending) and the only things holding me back are costs and the fact the internet has some gross weirdos who I know would be weird about it.

This old game is basically what if your kiddos tried to play matchmaker. Each kid has a different person they ship you with, and there'd be a route focusing on just being a happy parent w/o romance for my acearo peeps. It was born of my love of childcare manhwa. However, I know the internet has too many pedos for me to make that game in peace.

Mmm one day maybe. It is still a really cute idea.

How likely are Zahir and Yukimura to have chosen to become a cultist to a different Warden if that Warden had helped them instead? Would they have been happy/as happy as they are in canon? How different would they have been personality-wise by the time they met the Truthlight (if they met at all)? For the Wardens they would have refused to become a cultist to, why would they have refused?

I've been playing WRBC and I've been enjoying it a lot!!

Hmmmmm....honestly the chances of any Cultists walking away from their original warden would be impossible. Most of the time their fates are so intertwined with their Warden that even the alternative paths still include their Warden.

Or death.

Yukimura would have been killed by Kazuyuki without the blessing of Winter, as without it he was just a teenage boy.

Zahir would have ended his own life were it not for Spring due to (incorrectly) blaming himself for his family's deaths.

Winter and Spring are how they became what they are now. Without them, they're very different characters from what they are.

In theory, in a world where Zahir was at home when the Ring came, he might have caught the attention of Summer by fighting for his kith and kin. He wouldn't be the lovable, affable fellow we know now though. He wouldn't have chosen "Zahir" to be his new name for one. He'd be more stoic and dour like most Summer worshipers are.

Yukimura would always be dead. He cares too much about others to not defy the reign of his island, and he would be executed in any realm where he didn't receive Winter's aid.

Imagine going to the grind to fight and win against the Greatsmith, to earn the right to Necares hand.... Just for her to be like:

'You two, do not get to decide this.'

Absolutely devastating...

(And funny as hell)

See this is where Necare being an oblivious little shit comes in.

She wouldn't notice.

For ages.

Because romance is something you have to essentially teach her to see, even in a modern setting. Girl's too busy trying to keep her shit together, so she would be utterly baffled for the longest time.

And then she'd probably find it a bit amusing actually. It's rare she gets those romance story-esque moments where she's actually like the girl in the equation.

Can I ask how conversations about the Voidlight went over between Violo and Vivere? Assuming they were crushing on them, how did they approach the subject to each other?

Cause if i had a partner who i know to be SUPER SUPER jealous I'd be at least a little careful when offering to open the relationship lol

VV squealing together before going to bed over the interactions they had with the Voidlight like a pair of hormonal highschoolers

Ah see, you must remember that Violo & Vivere are actually eerie as fuck most of the time. They practice speaking so Violo doesn't lose the muscle memory for it, but normally (when the Voidlight isn't around) they use telepathy.

Entirely silent conversations, and notably ones where they don't hide anything. This means that their emotions are always on full display to one another whenever they have those conversations. While one could hide something if they were determined enough, they don't bother.

This is also why they get so irritated in the multiple dead ends in the garden. They know exactly how the other one is feeling. Pushed to the brink they lash out. Except for when their feelings are in alignment, in which case they act in unison.

You've also gotta remember that they've shared partners before. More like swapped back in the day, but it's not odd to say that sharing would be more normal for them than not.

It would be a hazy blur of the one picking up feelings from the other and then the two trading emotions back and forth. Typically if you're on a mutual high affection run (AKA: you keep them at the exact same value), it'd probably be Viv noticing Vio getting more attached first and then nudging him along. This only happens when she likes you too though.

In the modern au does Violo have accommodations for his blindness? If so what are they?

Screen readers, TTS, a cane, and a big old guide dog named Abby.

In a modern AU he probably has cochlear implants, but it'd probably only work in one of his ears. The other would just be a dead zone. So talk on his right.

OFC, he'd also probably have Matthias to help him around as well. Matthias probably would continue to live with him and Vivere to act as their aide since Vivere would be chronically ill in modern!AU as well.

How would the wardens react to an MC who has to do l hands to tell left from right? Would they kinda tease them about it or be passive?

Heimos would notice, but he wouldn't judge. He's not the type to point out things that might make someone uncomfortable unnecessarily. The Keybell needing to use their hands to determine directions would be an unnecessary thing.

Violo wouldn't notice it at first. Not until he finally asked the elementals what the pauses were. Then, he'd absolutely be a relentless tease, clinging onto the arm in the direction he wants you to go in, stating that you should always just come his way anyways, so don't worry about it.

Vivere will find it cute and loom up behind the Voidlight. If they take too long, he'll tap the hand that's in the direction they need to go before grabbing it and pulling them along.

Necare would notice and find it cute as well. She wouldn't tease the Greatsmith about it, but she would probably start putting up little signs in her home for assistance.

Amare would find it precious. They'd patiently wait every time and just watch with a very fond smile. Of course, the Fatebringer can never get it wrong where they are, as they'll always go where they want to. Amare still thinks its adorable.

Yes, it absolutely would!

Anything that signals the Voidlight as seeing him as male always makes him happy. While he might prefer things like "The Most Handsomest Man" or "My Big Strong Man", he'll take stuff like this too.
