the ship's floor moved along the waves of the ocean, and it would not stop. it'd not take long to reach westeros, one of the sailors had assured him, after seeing his expression after a few hours had passed. lys was not very far from the sunset kingdoms, in truth, so at least he could be grateful for that. still, he would be much happier once they arrived. for all lys was an island, he had never spent time at ships, and it did not seem to agree with him in the slightest. the feeling had started soon after they had sailed, and had only grown as time passed and the movement remained. it could not be helped, he knows, it was on the very basis of how they'd get to their destination, and they had been lucky in the good weather. there could be a storm, or too strong winds, he thinks with a shudder. instead, there was enough wind to propell them further and the sun shone overhead. he had sat at the floor of the ship, preferring to remain overboard rather than confined to the sleeping quarters. as queasy as he feels, the winds helps, and the thought of going away from it is far worse. his eyes look upwards as he sees a shadow approach, gaze shifting to his mother. “ i don't understand why father wants to travel. ” he says. he attempts to recompose his expression. he does not wish to look as miserable as he feels. the lynesi comes easily, although his tongue stumbles as he attempts to pronounce westeros, before he forges ahead with the more familiar term he has heard. “ what is there at wes... west — the sunset kingdoms ? ”
