“      So ...  this is it,    ”          Mako says,  mildly embarrassed as he nods towards their makeshift apartment.  Both he and Bolin worked hard for everything they had for  y e a r s, and he rarely felt the itch of  shame  or embarrassment for how  little  that may seem.  But as a    Princess     stood at the top of the stairs,  it was hard not feel  s l i g h t l y  embarrassed about the space.  They’d made the attic as  h o m e y  as they could,  but there were only   so many  options.    “      We can just head right out if you want,  I just wanted to drop off my bag,      ”        he says as he drops his bag down on the   r i c k e t y   table beside the window.

 i’m  gonna  tell  you  a  secret      ,      and  that’s      :      arthur  thinks  ariel  is  the  coolest  person  under  the  sea      .      hands  down      .      other  than  his  mom      ,      but  you  know  how  the  story  goes      .      he  has  so  much  to  learn  about  the  sea      .      he’s  barely  scratched  the  surface  of  their  customs      ,      of  all  the  races  that  live  around  the  world      ,      of  what  they  look  like      ,      of  who  they  are  and  what  relation  he  has      ,      if  any      ,      to  them      .      and  ariel  would  teach  him  so  much      ,      whether  or  not  she’d  know  about  it      .      of  course      ,      he’s  got  all  sorts  of  stories  from  the  surface  world  and  what  it’s  like      ,      and  how  it’s  like  living  there      .      but  he  hardly  knows  what  it’s  like  to  live  so  far  beneath  the  sea  for  so  long  and  he  wants  to  know  all  about  it      ,      because  if  he’s  going  to  be  a  good  king  for  his  people      ,      he’s  going  to  have  to  learn      .      about  everything      .      and  ariel  would  be  such  a  mentor  for  him  and  he  loves  her      !!!
