Hi! I hope you don't mind me asking, but where do you work? If you'd rather not answer that one, could I ask about your experiences working in animation studios?

It’s no problem!I currently work in DHX Media as a Pose/Layout Artist :) it’s still under animation (it’s the step before animation basically haha). 

My first job was doing Character Builds (you basically build and break down characters so they can be used for animation), and the next one as well. Then was able to squeeze in a show and it was my first job doing Layout…finished that one then moved on to another show doing Layout again. 

I basically had to relearn Flash because I forgot EVERYTHING when I was at school (i’m not even kidding lmao everytime i got into a show i’m stressed for maybe a month depending on the complexity of the style).  

It’s contract-based job so you move a lot around from different shows and even departments. I’m still pretty new to this industry hahaha

my 19 year old cat breezy has a bad tooth. he’s gone to the vet twice for it already. the first time we got pain meds and oral antibiotics that we had to give to him for like a week or something. it seemed to help but 6 months later we were back at the vet with the same problem. this time he got a shot of antibiotics and pain meds and we switched him to nothing but wet cat food. that last a year and a 4 months. his tooth was abscessed once again and he wouldn’t eat or drink and he was in pain, so we took him back and did the same thing as last time.

once again the vet said “this is a temporary fix, the only way to keep it from happening again is to pull the tooth.” the first time he went they pushed that a little more, but it was like $2000, which we could in NO WAY afford. this time he barely even mentioned it because of how old and fragile he is now. he only weighs 6 pounds, which for a cat his size is really bad. and the older they are the less likely they are to live through the anesthesia. so the “permanent fix” is just as likely to kill him as the infection.

hopefully this will give him some more time at least though. I’ve had him since I was 7, so it’s really messing me up worrying myself sick over him. this is my idiot cat I’m too bonded to.

if you don't mind me asking, for the portraits for pulse, will that artists be given descriptions of the person we are assigned to draw? like what they did and enjoyed?

Yes. I will be researching the victims and putting together descriptions of them that will accompany the portraits in their final form. I would like these portraits to be displayed on a blog (separate from my own). I can put drafts of the descriptions on the spreadsheet that will be shared to all the participating artists. Good question!

Hello, I hope this isn't too forward of me. I was wondering, how did you begin making, Kings Folly? I've been wanting to start a webcomic as well, but I don't really know where to begin. Did you just plan out the story, draw the pages, and post? Or maybe it isn't that simple? Haha, I'm just looking for some advice, anything would be great. Thank you.
