Crack theory probably, but in the wake of reuniteisode, I want to point out how strange it is to me that Ze more or less had a meltdown when he got back to his "real" minecraft world.
Like, sure, he could have just been freaking out over the fact he spent 15 days with a fake Regect, but his reaction is so explosive. He literally tears down their house in a rage, he is screaming in an empty room at a computer screen, and only in the aftermath at seeing the real Regect does he seem to get a handle on himself.
I want to propose the idea that something happened in those 15 days. The EYES clearly know Ze's insecurities to some degree, based on how they talk to him at the end of Veilisode. They understand him, understand that fundamentally Ze is a neurotic and insecure character. (Which is more than like half this fandom lol but I digress.)
I think, during those two weeks, Ze told the EYES something about himself, or to put it more plainly he had an emotionally vulnerable moment with EYES!Regect thinking it was the real one, something we know is very hard for Ze to have.
If that is the case, Ze's meltdown makes so much more sense here, because not only was he tricked, but he spent two weeks trying to convince himself Regect was only acting weird because Ze told him something, only to have a paranoid freakout that this Regect wasn't even real and for him to be right.
I would tear down my minecraft house too, and probably break my actual laptop on top of that.
