It almost made him hungry….. Wait. He WAS hungry and there was NOTHING they could do about that. Afterall they were bad…and well. He was. Bad too. Damon went into this deal in order to keep a little bit of his sanity. That fucking siren deserved to perish with how much digging she had done in his head that his humanity switch was completely off and well…. he couldn’t give a single damn who on earth he was killing. This was for Hell wasn’t it. The bad souls, those who were entirely corrupted and didn’t care about anyone’s lives other than terrorising and killing others. It was Hell’s bidding and he was just carrying it out for whatever the hell he was in for. This kept him immortal, kept him from dying and well. If he died he would end up right back here. What more could he ask for? served better than actually being in Hell itself.

These were the bad people on earth, these were the people that stank of sweat and blood and yet Damon completely relished in it. Oh it was like artwork to him. Cleaning up the streets and getting a good feed at the same time. Perishing these bodies and no-one knowing a single bit about it. Sure his ’friends’ could have come after him and tried to stop him but really they were just getting in the way of something flourishing completely.

THAT taste, as his tongue glided over his sticky wet lips, sweet crimson dripped down his chin, his brother could have done worse but by all means. But Damon wasn’t him and Damon wasn’t AS messy as what his brother was. Tearing bodies into little puzzles, heads and limbs everywhere whereas Damon was easily disposing them. What kind of destruction did he need from his brother when he could do this all by himself. ALONE. That’s what he was better off as. No-one getting in the way and doing whatever else was needed to keep himself alive. At least from what he could remember that there was no-one else out there that COULD stop him or whom he cared about. So far Elena was wiped from his memory and he had tore up any type of link to his past from destroying one of the people closest to his old ‘friends’. 

Glancing round, he reached for the limp body once more. Digging his fangs into the side of their neck and continued feeding, he didn’t need anyone. He was ENJOYING this too much.  @helcl

I feel like the secret to me is that I’m nearly always willing to review people’s writing and/or characters, but ONLY on their own initiation. I study this stuff. I have my BA in it and I’m earning my MFA in it as we speak. My job is legitimately to fix people’s writing! I’m just...not always the nicest, outside of work hours, although whether I’m on the clock or not I can guaran-damn-tee you my advice is solid when earnestly given and honestly heard! (Even if it’s not all taken!)

my opinion on;

character in general: I don’t remember Lucifer on the show all that well...which is a funny thing to admit to, but I think it goes partially back to the actor. Luci!Cas and Luci!Vincente weren’t quite the same Lucifer. In fact...the closest Pellegrino imitation we got was from Padalecki, but that’s hardly a surprise. (Collins had it second best; Springfield and Chisum were virtually different characters, though!) So it’s hard for me to make this call, because I literally don’t remember what having Pellegrino’s Lucifer on the show was like! I liked him, though. I remember thinking he was a fairly refreshing twist on the character, a thought I’ve only had twice more since: once for Ellis’ Lucifer on Lucifer and once for Lucifer in The Wicked + The Divine. And I come into contact with a surprising amount of Lucifer- and Devil-oriented media.how they play them: I haven’t had the time to check in on my dash for a while, BUT. Let me put it this way. I followed your blog the same night the URL was suggested to me. I got something like seven or eight different URLs suggested to me as partners from a friend, and of them all, I only followed helcl. I found the writing to be engaging and dynamic, I have a deep appreciation for the rotation of visual aesthetic in it to create different emphatic sounds in the reader’s mind (it’s not always italicized or always bolded, a trap I fall into myself quite often), and most importantly, the character is handled three-dimensionally without  being woobified, excused, or grimdark’ed.the mun: I haven’t actually spoken to? I think we traded maybe two messages before things got busy over here and my life became school, work, and trying to be social off-site. ^^; BUT!, I get the impression that you’re very nice, extremely approachable, and most importantly, that you’re a good person. I’ve read a few of your OOC posts. There’s an inherent quality to the side of yourself that they present that just feels...familiar. In the good way. The best of ways. Like I look at it and it feels like something a friend would post. Maybe that’s a little too “out there” an explanation, but I think you take my point all the same. :)
