So.... I kinda want to get a bird

Buuuuuut I own a cat (named Lotus) and I don’t want the bird to get eaten plus I don’t think colleges would let me have a bird I the dorms and I know for a fact that my parents won’t keep it for me. So if y’all have any ideas or tips for me AFTER college please let me know :D
