There was also a scene where Jack (John Barrowman) and his Time Agency partner, James Marsters (Spike from Buffy), go at it hot and heavy. H-O-T. Jack is proudly "omnisexual" (basically banging anything that has a pulse) as are all humans in the future. They have evolved some very potent fermions. For Ianto, in the gif, it's not all men, it's one man, only Jack.

No, I haven’t had much exposure to the fandom world besides Supernatural and a couple of other things. So I didn’t know what that was when I saw it. But this character sounds very interesting and I think I’m going to have to check it out. I want to check out Sherlock too.

Doctor Who club Icebreaker (can I please come?): Put the names of characters on papers. As each person comes in they get a name pinned on their back, without knowing who it is. Everyone else can read who they are. People have to figure who their character is by asking only yes or no questions to everyone around them. One question at a time per person that way you move around & talk to everyone. Once you guess your character you still can answer questions. Wacky-11-yr-old-bday-party kinda fun.

Are you in Washington state?

But seriously, we're now thinking of pub quizzes. Which means writing questions and categories, but we're pretty qualified for it.

On Hardy, i have had some beers so,yeah. Sometimes I feel like, & I haven't seen it since it aired, he thinks a bit like hey she fucked a married guy, maybe I have a chance for sex only. In his mind a bit he is still married & so emasculated by his wife's affair that he doesn't even really know how to go about trying to hook up. It's so awkwardly ill advised. David did it so well & so cringe-worthy. They have to be aware that we are "DT relax with me." But Hardy is not the guy who gets laid.

LOL I love how you preface this with "a few beers" although to be fair I read it as "a few bears" and I was like "...wait what how did the wildlife get in it?" 

Anyways so WOW, maybe I'm the only one who understood him as being For Realz about relaxing? Like I definitely see why Becca thought what she did (I probably would have too) but knowing Hardy the way he is the rest of the time it seemed to me like JUST the awkward fumble kind of thing he would do.

I just wanted to say that I would love to comment on the premiere. You always have all these really intelligent conversations. I generally just enjoy reading them because I definitely don't know enough to comment. Unfortunately, I really need to watch it again because my daughter sat directly in front the TV, yelling and squealing and I couldn't concentrate. I don't know from where she gets this ridiculous behavior. *wink wink* Also I am way older than 27 and super excited about it.

Haha, glad to hear that it’s not confined to age groups! It’s easy to feel positively elderly here—I was used to lots of people in their thirties, forties, fifties on pretty much every other platform I’ve been on, so Tumblr makes me a bit self conscious :)

Thanks for spending your personal time to make it easier for fans to find fic they'll enjoy, and I'd like to apologize on behalf of the idiots you get who are "too lazy" to track down their own reading material. This is the equivalent of me walking into a library, giving the an employee a list of literary qualities, and expecting them to shit out a reading list on demand. Rude.

To me this blog is a library. We have all the resources we need to find the fics within thanks to the amazing organization. If we really need help we can ask the librarian (aka you guys), but honestly with how precise the tags are it shouldn’t be any trouble for people to browse on their own. Besides it’s kind of fun seeing what you can find while you look around, I’ve stumbled on a lot of great fics while looking for something completely different.

Thank you guys for all your kind (and humorous) words. I definitely like the library analogy. 

We’ll draft up a mission statement to explicitly state what we do here (beyond the sidebar description) and links to specific external resources (ex: destielmybeatingheart, mishas-assbutts, and spnstoryfinders). Though our main purpose is reviews, we’ve tried to help where we can and implemented things like group asks and the unofficial rec bulletin for followers to help other followers.

But with the number of followers we have and volume of asks we receive, there have to be ground rules (mostly relating to anon asks). It takes 5 seconds to send a quick reply to a private message. This morning/afternoon, I spent 5 hours formatting and posting things (that doesn’t account for the time spent drafting responses with notes between mods on which fics fit and which don’t). That’s a big difference.

And yes, this is a free service. We could easily only answer the asks we like but we don’t. We answer each one (usually in a few days) and make an effort to explain what anons we delete because we think it’s important for people to get answers. And all those ground rules? Yeah, they are the reason we haven’t had to turn off anon.
