i know there were more, ugly reasons for why Daniel kept running away from Armand in qotd but i believe part of it was bc he thought if he left, then maybe Armand would realize he was serious about being angry and hurt that Armand kept refusing to turn him, and also maybe Armand would miss him so much that he'd realize he wanted Daniel around forever actually, and would finally agree to keep him for real. but instead Daniel kept being the first to cave and beg for Armand to take him back.
Meanwhile the running away reinforced the belief in Armand that Daniel just wanted him for his blood and the Dark Gift:')
we need to lean more into double standards in the consumption of fictional works. like it’s cute when my babes do it, it's absolutely despicable when characters i hate do it. hope that helps
okay guys help me out

korean
other (in the notes)
when an author replies to your comment on their fic and you're like, i'm getting a good grade in commenting on a fic
just saw moulin rouge (the musical) and i may have brainworms but it’s just so armandaniel to me
what if EVERYONE is having hallucinations. Lestat sees Louis, Claudia and Nicki, Armand sees young Daniel (and maybe Riccardo?), Daniel is also seeing young Daniel, and Louis is the normal one this time
edit: Armand is catching glimpses of Bianca but since everyone else is being haunted by their past he thinks she must be a figment of his imagination too
this post made me think of all the narrative boomerangs coming back at Armand in the series for the things he did. he mocks Nickistat's relationship and cuts off Nicki's hands, but later falls in love with a human himself, and it's a relationship full of premature grief and self-loathing and once he gives his human even the very last thing he asks for, that's what makes Armand lose him.
he plays a significant role in the death of Louis' daughter, and later he takes his own "kids" under his wing only to have his own maker condemn them to eternal undeath, which nearly breaks Armand.
like. seems all the suffering Armand causes, he gets it back maybe not tenfold but certainly the same or a similar amount
