I didn’t make these - except I did turn the purple horse from a toothbrush-holder to just a horse lol and I tried to fix up that pyramid-shaped stone
"It Works" NO It Does NOT work
How do I have all these "It Works" scam artists on my Facebook page? Ummmmmm, so yeah that is really not cool, please unfriend me now, stay away from my real friends and my dog and my purse. I understand somebody conned you into it and you couldn't say no and now you're out $500 on a worthless pyramid scheme...I DO NOT understand people who then say to themselves "well, I could be out $500 OR I could get that money back a few dollars at a time by pulling the same scam on my friends and family cha-ching" yeah it does piss me off a little. I was trying to give people the benefit of the doubt about it at first thinking maybe that they are themselves just really misinformed about the "product" they are selling, and then I realized the full extent of the deception involved and yeah it creeps me out. I just cannot see how women do this to other women...and especially if I see someone posts that they are having a hard time and are somehow vulnerable and this housewife just swoops in "I know just the thing that would solve all of your problems" ugh I have blocked the people, but I also wanted to say how I feel bc I don't want to be silently implicit in support of the onslaught of icky "It Works" posts and propaganda And I know that a lot of the people doing it started out as victims...but then they had to make a choice - and they decide to continue to perpetuate the scam? Nope
I've thought about this since Karen said someone asked her "why was "American Pie" Jennie and Dinah's song?" The short answer came to me after I got off of the phone and listened to it. I called Karen back and said "oh well yeah it is the best song ever" so yeah, we loved the song very much. Not satisfied by just singing the chorus, Jennie thought that we should memorize all of the lyrics, and so we did. It was a labor of love that involved learning about all the rock & roll mythology in those lyrics and, of course, listening to the song many many many many times. It is a long song with many verses, but we thought we were so cool that we knew every word and we knew what it meant to us. Whenever one of us heard it come on the radio, we would call the other and sing it together, no matter where we were or what we were doing. This is just one of many ways that Jennie lives inside of me every day; I still like to memorize poems and speeches that are difficult and/or looooooooong. I think that is how it became "our" song - it had nothing to do with anything but it meant everything and when two people have something like that, like Jennie and I did, it is powerful, and yeah it is the best song ever. 💜💜💜
