Black Twig: Sunday Air (Live @ Alppipuisto, Helsinki) 18.07.15
Watch Black Twig's Floors video
The sunnier climate of Spain where Black Twig played this last summer supplies the backdrop to the new video for the pulsating drone of Heliogram LP cut Floors.
Clouds, the cobbled streets of Madrid, desert terrain, discreet laughs and hidden smiles all come together for the grainy Super 8 look that the Floors visual puts out. A one note bass propels ringing guitars and booming tom's as Floors takes you to a heart of cascading tremolo intensity whilst telling you to "Just wander around, seek comfort in sound". Embrace it.
Floors video was shot/edited by Black Twig drummer Aleksi Peltonen.

BLACK TWIG ACOUSTIC DAY & The HYPE by The BEAT-TV
Black Twig - Halfways
Black Twig - Halfways (from "Heliogram", Soliti 2014) Music video by Johanna Heikkilä. "Black Twig's Halfways, the opening track from sophomore album Heliogram, delivers dream like states of ringing guitar notes and punctuated rhythm (and yes the guitar break is pure Loaded). A looping chord sequence moves to the left and then right, but returns to the elegant motoric jangle. Johanna Heikkilä's film creates the perfect accompaniment to Halfways. The 1990's home footage rarely varies, but creates it's own altered state of repetition, comparable to Warhol's beach voyeurism combined with the jump/cut glitch of experimentation." ***** BUY THE ALBUM: http://blacktwigmusic.bandcamp.com FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/blacktwigmusic TWITTER: http://www.twitter.com/blacktwigmusic SOUNDCLOUD: http://www.soundcloud.com/blacktwigmusic OFFICIAL SITE: http://www.blacktwigmusic.com SOLITI: http://www.solitimusic.com

Black Twig - Summer Slow Down
Black Twig's second album Heliogram pushes forward the template they forged on debut Paper Trees by entering a softer, warmer world. More abrasive shoegaze has been replaced by contemplation. Whilst some of the guitar onslaught of Dinosaur Jr or MBV still exists within Heliogram's design, a breezy acoustic hue brings in hints of sunnier days. Summer Slow Down, the second single from Heliogram recalls the most melodic aspects of Felt, The Clientele and the gentler moments of The Feelies. You can watch Black Twig's first ever video (!!!), their self made Digital Super 8/mobile phone fuzzy roadmovie for Summer Slow Down http://solitimusic.com/ https://www.facebook.com/blacktwigmusic http://www.blacktwigmusic.com/ https://soundcloud.com/blacktwigmusic
