☯ — i am the view ✗
with the turn of the new year, and the end of his last one, seungwoo is trying to find those things called hobbies. at the very least, he’s trying to find healthier ways to pass his time, without his past self-destructive tendencies. it’s a difficult habit to break, like fighting against his natural inclination, but he always knew it would be a battle to become better, whatever that word means.
hoseok is a healthier pastime-- not in the way most people are for seungwoo, wherein he spends most of his time in bed with them, though seungwoo always expects the potential for that to change. for now, however, hoseok is a friend of a sort, but seungwoo counts anyone that treats him like a human being as a friend-- even those that don’t, now that he thinks about.
uncharacteristically, he stubbornly resisted hoseok’s advances (see: hoseok trying to convince him to learn how to properly dance.) seungwoo, however, would not be himself without eventually caving, and so he does. it brings him here, to a dance studio-- a strange new environment. he can imagine parallels between it and where he trained his wushu in china, though he expects dancing to be less discipline and more freedom.
he doesn’t really intend to join hoseok in dancing. he just sits up against the wall and watches as hoseok dances instead, and zones out when he doesn’t. the movements are far different than seungwoo is used to, even though he’s a dancer of a sort, too; naturally, they’re less provocative and harder-hitting. it isn’t like seungwoo has never seen someone dance before. it’s just the first time he’s paid so much attention.
he doesn’t realize when hoseok addresses him, but seungwoo looks up at him with a close-lipped smile. hoseok, of course, suggests seungwoo dance too, and he shakes his head. “i’m good. just enjoying the view.”
