a small red straw sat between naeun’s painted lips as she finished off the rest of what was in her cup. she was on cup number too many, and was finally ready to stop. it never mattered how drunk the girl was, she could always tell if she was too drunk or not— which is something most people have trouble admitting when under the influence. the twenty-three year old giggled to herself as she realized she had definitely gone way too far that night. “oooh, i’ve done it now.” she mutters to herself in a barely audible mumble. she takes a deep breathe, leaving cash on the bar for her tab before turning and walking away. she had no clue what time it was anymore and could hardly remember which club she had managed to stumble into that night.
she has her days at times. days where her inner demons are too much for her and eventually cause her to explode. crying just wasn’t enough for the girl, on the days she felt lowest she always went out and had a few drinks. she blamed her sperm donor for this bad habit, but at least she didn’t get as aggressive as him when she was intoxicated. still, she occasionally had a little bit too much confidence once that liquor settled in her system. tonight would prove to be one of those instances. but at least she felt good about herself in this state.
naeun made her way through the crowd of sweaty, dancing, drunk people, making sure to avoid touching them as much as she could. something about other people’s sweat freaked her out and this is why she prefers to have her own one man dance concerts in the comfort of her own home. in fact, that thought sounded almost too good to the woman right about now. having a mini karaoke and dance session to let out her aggressions sounded way too phenomenal. naeun pushed the weight of the door open and finally felt like she could breathe as she exited the club. she didn’t realize just how warm it had been inside until the slightly cool night air kissed her cheeks.
the slight breeze felt great to the girl as she walked, head held high and purse clutched to her body. she just started walking in a random direction without thinking first. it was hard to walk in a straight line and she felt super vulnerable, which she hated, but in this state she probably could be considered exactly that. after digging her phone from the small black bag hanging from her shoulder, she pulled up a gps and typed in her home address. she stopped dead in her tracks and laughed out loud to herself. “ssssoo sstupid naeuniee,” she said to herself in a sing-song tone. the woman had been walking in the opposite direction of her condo and continued to giggle as she changed her direction and began once again making her way home.
soon she found herself a bit paranoid as she noticed a pair of headlights turn onto the road she was walking down. hopefully it was the cops, or some creeper. though she had training to fight off pervs, she wasn’t confident that she would be strong enough in this state. she tried to shrug off her paranoia but it seemed as the car got closer it was also getting slower and the woman did not like that one bit.
she looked up to the sky with a sigh, “what is it noww?”
