1985A Marty (and Jenn) in the girls to the future au!

Jennifer suddenly hears a familiar voice. It's Marty, she's sure of it, even though logically she knows that can't be possible- he's at her house, on the swing bench. But it is him. He's talking to her on the intercom. The intercom of Biff's Casino. And he's just buzzed her up to the 27th floor.

Marty's lived a troubled life. His father died when he was only five, and his mother got remarried to Biff Tannen, the "luckiest man alive"

He spends most of his time away from his broken family, in various boarding schools in foreign countries. He's made a habit of getting kicked out of them, both because it pisses Biff off and causes a whole lot of trouble for him, but also so that he has an excuse to see his mother again, but he won't dare let anyone know that.

He's dating the rebellious and foul-mouthed Jennifer Parker, but the long distance they're often subjected to when Marty gets sent away causes countless fights. They've broken up and gotten back together more times than either can count, and now Jennifer is currently serving time for being caught vandalising Biff's casino.

Marty wouldn't really care, except for the fact that she still has two of his Van Halen cassettes. Sure, he could steal some money off of Biff and easily buy a hundred new cassettes- but it's the principle of the thing.

So when he sees Jennifer- with her hair dyed back to it's normal colour he hasn't seen since they were both thirteen, and wearing floral pink denim, he has to call her up to the 27th floor. How'd she get out of jail?

My hellish trip

Aside from the quite imperfect start that it had, I also tried to do as many hell-related things as possible during this trip to Japan, in honour of the tour being called: "Who is this hell for?"

Of course, I couldn't go to Sapporo and not visit Jigokudani (hell valley) in Noboribetsu. They compare the landscape to something out of this world, like from Mars, and the sulfuric fumes remind us of hell's flames. That being said, having been spoiled on sulfur sources in Iceland super recently, I wasn't that impressed, except that Noboribetsu's had way more colours than Iceland's.

Then, I was able to stop in Aomori to visit Towada Art Center. Ever since I saw photos of her works online, I'd dreamt of seeing one in person. The art exhibited all around and inside the center are also more than worthwhile, but yeah, I'm in love with Memory of Water:

(Hellish because... Those are not happy memories of water hahah.)

Next, I caught in extremis an exhibition on Louise Bourgeois, famous for her Mother spider sculptures, but who, it turns out, had a lot of parallels with Kyo's mentality, I find. And she once said:

Not sure if that was exhaustive, but in such a short time, I think I stuck to the theme as much as I could. I guess, as for my personal hell, I also visited an exhibition by a woodcarver who recreates very realistic food as painted wood, which a ton of food might as well be in my case since I can't partake in it. Hopefully the other visitors felt 1% of my frustration.

am i the only one who calls 1985a mart marty tannen? i do this for the sole purpose of angst. because i KNOW biff in this timeline especially wouldn’t be very tolerant and kind towards lorraine and would’ve forced his surname on her and the kids as dominance that he is in control UNLESS he just had so much disdain for them BECASUE they are george’s flesh and blood and love
