Hey! ☺️ I'm trying to find the name of a fic I read a long while ago and I'm hoping you can help. Future Regina and Emma send their two daughters back in time to protect them from Gold but they go back too far to like season 2 I think when basically everyone is horrible to Regina and the two girls end up bringing their mothers together. Do you know the story I'm talking about? It was so good and I'm dying to read it again.

Ooooh why, what did he do?

Well, the thing that probably made them kill off Gideon was him continuing to trash criminal minds for being too ~violent~ and ~violence breeding violence~ (important to remember that this is the man who jumped straight onto the Homeland train, something that’s, you know, violent /and/ racist to boot). But yes, literally 8 years after he’d left the show. 8 years and still on about it and publicly trashing it. And like, i don’t believe that that reasoning is anything but an excuse that he’s unintentionally overselling anyway, so wow. 

also relevant is probably that people were pestering the writers to bring Gideon back. And they, you know, wouldn’t ever try to get him back after what he did even if he would be willing, and Gideon dying /does/ stop any possibility of him returning and stops people annoying them about it. I respect that tbh. 

But the phrase ‘what did he do?’ taken in general would take at least an hour to write out in full. That man has a shit list so long i’m begrudgingly impressed. 

But a very short version would be ‘he acted like a 5 year old, refused to show up for work he was contractually obliged to (and by refused i mean didn’t tell anybody and just didn’t show up), then when they convinced him to show up to write him out properly, he refused to film what they wrote, making them have to do /another/ rewrite of that episode (they had to rewrite 7 episodes because of this), and has spent his time since then trashing them all in various vaguely hypocritical ways’. The show’s lead up and left, broke contract, then spent his time doing his best to bring the show down. The cast/crew have in the past spoken of how they were worried about losing their jobs over it. He failed, luckily, and i hope every new season the show gets hurts him personally.
